Can't please everyone with the Hardcore Missions. After all, they aren't everyone's cup of tea - not even mine, due to the lack of time to play the game for an extended period of time; full-time job, on top of writing stuff for ED. Since they are permanent, there won't be a rush to finish them for some, albeit they will have to sacrifice not being able to play new Missions in order to finish them. At least we're trying to please both, casual and hardcore players with the Event - especially with the Spring break starting around now, for many. (and no, multiple Missions support won't be happening) For the Legendary Mode, I'll just repeat what I said before - there are plans for it, and we are aware of the balance issues around it, but can't share anything beyond that. However, we're not ignoring it. If we want a good solution for them, instead of a quick fix, it will have to wait just a little bit longer. quote:
I hope that @Ranloth thinks about more complex and less boring missions despite the engine limitations. I'm open for ideas. My current project is the Summer Event, so I'm open for possible suggestions in terms of Mission objectives (or how it should be conveyed to the player, in the dialogue) - since the story is pretty much set in stone. Edit: quote:
Yes but please keep in mind that missions solely about the story line or simple missions aren't everyone's cup of tea either. Missions were created for sake of the storyline - that is their main purpose. Storyline cannot be restricted with difficult-to-complete Missions, because that just defeats the whole point of it. If players aren't interested in it, that isn't something we can do anything about - without throwing the entire purpose of Missions out the window. There are exceptions, e.g. the upcoming chain and the Endless Shop, but they are exceptions for a reason, too. We write Missions with story in mind, not something completely random for the sake of it - there are players who do want to see some of the story; and those saying there isn't one whilst ignoring the dialogue, is also not something we can do anything about.
