Gonna post individual pieces here before posting it on fanfiction.net

~ The Battle ~
As the battlefield silenced, the warmongering heroes of Falconreach and the defeated army of Baron Valtrith looks upon the massive crater that was formed from the climactic battle between The Hero and Caitiff.

The defeated human-doom artifact was kneeling in the ground thinking, with a sword at its neck. It just didn’t understand, the last time they fought it sent The Hero running with just a blast, so how is it that they manage to actually beat it this time? Granted, Sepulchure was fighting on their side but the last time it checked, the Doomknight didn’t lift a hand during their duel; instead let his arch-nemesis do this himself.

“How, how could you manage to do all this!?”

The creature was staring across the battlefield at the sight of the victorious heroes and the corpses of 10 million creatures that serve its master army. It then shouts once more:

“How!? When you couldn’t even beat back a one million undead attack and couldn’t even save this husk even though you have already arrived at the castle’s gate!”

The Hero just looks at it, staring at the twisted husk that was once their greatest friend and ally with eyes filled with sadness and simply said:

“We are stronger than we were back then, monster. You may keep attacking us over and over, you can kill me, or Mordred, or Miran, or Dragonman but eventually a new generation of heroes will be born to take our mantle and defeat you and your kind.”

With those last words, the Hero raised their sword slowly and, in one swift movement, brings it down upon the abomination’s axe chest – where the darkness spirit manifest upon Serenity’s body. Cracks begin to form from the slash and rays of blinding light and darkness escape from them. Seconds later, the creature disappeared as an explosion of light take its place. From the flash, the Hero could see what seems to be a gust of black wind pour out of their dead friend and disappear.

As the lights fade, a human body is lying where Caitiff once sat, one with familiar golden hair and a torn innkeeper outfit, one without any traces of corruption from a doom weapon. The corpse of Serenity lay there with such a serene smile on her face that makes you think she was just sleeping. Unfortunately, not every story is a fairy tale.

As much as they wish it was otherwise, Serenity is already gone-gone, as dead as dead can be. Ashendal has explained this to them himself that once a soul is gone, Serenity will ceased to exist from that moment onward across all worlds and nothing could bring her back … not even reality-warping power. ..
Thus, they gathered the wounded and the dead to bring back to Falconreach, with Serenity’s body in tow.

~ The Funeral ~
The sky is blackened with grey clouds blocking all sun lights from reaching the field, where Serenity’s funeral is taking place.
“Friends, allies, we have gathered here today to remember our inn keeper, our ray of light and Falconreach’s most beloved person, Serenity…”

As Ash continues the speech, the Hero could tell that he was shaking; the sight of her body must have more effect on the young boy more than they realize. Not surprising, after they were frozen Serenity has given Ash a lot of support in his quest to become stronger and be the town new protector, if anything she can be considered his second mother.

Despite being a regular innkeeper, Serenity has become quite famous not just in Falconreach but many other places as well. They could see other heroes such as Artix, Warlic, Zhoom, ninjas and pirates from Sho’nuff, paladins, necromancers, Rose’s members like Magus Hansa and even a few atealans as well. The Hero could also feel the angry stare of not-so-few adventures when Ash recounts the attack on the Castle Valtrith – and who could blame them.

The Hero were, after all, the one the others look up to and the one they elected to lead the charge to the castle and most – if not all – were present when the Baron snatches the Stranger’s cloak from them and sealed Serenity’s fate and fifty other who died from Caitiff’s blast. How heart-broken they must be when they find out they could have destroy the cloak, they could have prevented all this from happening, they could have save Serenity’s soul and figure out a way to get back her body later. But they didn’t.

As Lite Knight finished his speech, a coffin was brought out that hold in it her body all cleaned and groomed. She was still wearing that same smile like when they first met, that peaceful and friendly smile that gives off a feeling just like the sound of her name “serenity”. But now, that smile brings them nothing but sadness and grief. Stupid girl, why couldn’t she just tell us what was wrong and stop smiling for once…

After the coffin was buried and the others had already left, The Hero still sticks around and stares at the grave.
Just like back in Tomix’s funeral, they mused.

It had never occurred to them before that they never said a simple “thank you” to her. Whether it’s the delicious meal, free stay or encouragements; they just always smile and treated it like it happen every day, which was true in a way. The phrase “you never know how important something is until you lose it” never sounds more right. Serenity may have been a background character, she can’t swing a sword or cast a spell or fight through hundreds of monster but in the end she was still “family”.

A torrent of emotions and a stream of water flow through the Hero’s eyes as they finally let out all the grief and sadness they bottled up. Tears were falling into the ground, as is the rain drops until the air was flooded with waters and booming thunders can be heard raging across the sky.

I enjoyed it. Are you planning on adding more? Also, I've taken the courtesy to remove some small grammatical errors from your fanfic, to increase the flow of the sentences and for the reader's ease. Would you like me to send it to you, or post it here?

solomi123 -> RE: =DF= A Serenity fanfic (3/23/2015 0:45:12)

Sure, you can post it here if you like ~ :3

And yes, I do plan on adding more since I promise to megakyle this will be a Serenity-resurrected fanfic ... and it'll be believable, I assure you, something not even Ash with all his Deus Ex could stop ~

~ The Resurrection~
Long after The Hero has already left and the rain had stop, a small shadow jumps out of a nearby bush and move toward Serenity’s grave. It is unlike any creature it this world, or at least in this continent. The creature then proceed to dug it’s claw into the earth and continue to dig its way down until the metal surface of the coffin can be seen.
Hasty but carefully, it lift the coffin out of the ground and, surprisingly given its status, lift the casket and carry it into the darkness.

“Master’s lucky Master has a backup plan in case this ever happen”. The small shadow can be heard grumbling.

*Sometimes later in Falconreach
Outrage and mass chaos is the only two words capable to describe the town in the last 24 hours. Several adventurers visited Serenity’s grave came back bearing disturbing news, someone or something have stolen Serenity’s body … again.

Mass interrogation of necromancers both inside and outside of Falconreach was made while the Guardians have been sending scouts to scour the area to make sure the thief can’t escape. That didn’t stop the adventurers though.

From their room in the Inn the hero can see avatars-know-how-many portals was opened throughout the town and legions of adventurers can be seen rushing through one portal toward another to almost every location in the continent.

Some heroes actually gathered to make a speech about how they should form an army and storm Castle Valtrith thinking he is responsible. Not surprisingly the shouts “Death to the Baron!” can be heard not long after that.

The Hero could go out and calm everybody down but they erase that thought when a glimpse of battered Hero’s and Valtrith’s piñatas can be seen lying over the street. Maybe they could wait until the others accidently burn the town in some foolish attempts to “purify” the inn to escape the town and goes after the thief themselves.

*Unknown location
Greg walk across the storage room toward the “soul” section, thinking how long it has been since he last walked the path. Before his master became the girl known as “Serenity”, she was once “Yalla”, one of the greatest villains to ever walk the face of Lore.

While circumstances forced him not to reveal why she erased her memory in the first place, he still remembers the villainess back then, daring, cunning and intelligent. In fact, she made a deal with a chaosweaver to “cut” several small pieces of her soul from the main one and hide them just in case this exact situation ever happens.

The creature then takes a bottle that held one of those pieces and brings it to the ritual circle. Since his master technically has no soul left in her body, the solution is to simply place the soul piece into her body and let it grow into a full-fledged soul.

Greg opens the bottle and the soul piece fly around the circle higher and higher, causing the runes on it to shine with power. When the piece is at the center it falls down like a meteor right into his master’s chest causing her body to glow with green light. When the lights finally subside, a familiar pair of cold emerald eyes snaps open.

Oh Ashy Ashy, you really think I won't find any loop holes in that little Deus Ex Machina of yours [&:]
Well here ya go, a "Serenity" soul before the "fixed" point into Serenity's empty body ~ haaaaaahhh

Since very little has been reveal of Yalla, I'll make this my head-canon and give her a past similar to the main character of Infinity Blade who is an amnesic villain with a little follower to resurrect them every time and became a hero helping people.

... Jokes aside, I originally made this fic since Ash bluntly state that Serenity is gone. But if either you changed your mind or "Serenity" won't return is a way of wording and this is how the story actually go, then I can honestly say that I won't hesitate to delete this. Though I doubt it is to be honest.

Kian -> RE: =DF= A Serenity fanfic (3/23/2015 17:19:31)

Alrighty, here ya go! I forgot to put the mistakes in bold now that I think of it... Oh well, still hope it's useful to you. [:D] I also changed a few things here and there, so it's more of a personal correction on some aspects. It was done before Part 3 was posted, so only the first two parts are adjusted for now. Good job and keep writing :)

A small tip is to be consequent in the use of tenses. If you use a present followed by a past, this feels a bit awkward and is also incorrect, unless it's for didactic reasons. Aside from these nitbits, I thought it was very fun to read and you certainly have what it takes to be an even better writer! [;)]

~The Return~
It took several hours for Greg to fill Yalla in about the time she spent as the innkeeper Serenity and all the events that has transpired all these years – including her death. Safe to say she had a hard time believing it all.

Sepulchure and Xan was still active during her time as “Yalla” so she doesn’t have much surprise hearing about them; but to think that a gigantic darkness dracolich ate the sun, a fire demon alien overlord almost burned the entire planet and a massive anti-magic cult which gained control over the entire kingdom of GreenGuard. To think that all this happens over her short time as “Serenity”, it is very interesting indeed.

And the most interesting bit is Falconreach itself, out of all the towns and cities in Lore, this one for some reason attracts almost every adventurer in existence from newbie to legends. Not to mention all the villains which attack the town almost every weekend? She is very curious on how it still manage to stand after all that has happened.

“I shall go and see this town for my own eyes. You will be coming with me.”

Greg went still for a moment, this is an order he has not expected, and spoke out against her, albeit shaking.

“With all due respect, master, the people of Falconreach has recognized every feature in your body after all the years “Serenity” spent with them. It would be unwise if you suddenly step in causing mass chaos … not to mention all the troubles we’ll have to deal with in the end.”

A beautiful small laughter filled the room.

“My my, Greg, have you already forgotten who I am after all these year? A simple illusion spell is a piece of bread for me.”

Having said that, Yalla lift her hand and cast the spell. In one moment, her entire being changed. Right now in a mirror is a young girl with green hair and golden eyes with white skin; completely different from her original womanly body … nooo, she didn’t simply inverted the color of her hair and eye; and besides, she like it better this way.

“Mmmaster … please reconsider …” Greg shut up just as Yalla direct her stare at him that spelled “Say anymore and I’ll kill you.

“All right, let’s go shall we?”

solomi123 -> RE: =DF= A Serenity fanfic (3/24/2015 23:53:03)

... I hate grammar ... always feels like there is thousands of error after I write something ...

So this one is more or less a filler chapter since writer block has shown it's ugly face. Srsly, is Yalla personality okay? Is Greg okay? What will happen when she goes to Falconreach? Should there be anymore chapters after the next one?
I can't think of anything

Kian -> RE: =DF= A Serenity fanfic (3/24/2015 23:57:02)

Your writing is excellent. It really is. But you could indeed work more on the details, such as tenses. As for your story: take a break. Go sniff up some air, take a walk, or even a bath, and relax. Then after some days, try again. In the mean time, I'll finish reading parts III and IV and see how I can help you. :)
