I think this war system should be changed, changed in the way that numbers don't matter, but skills, instead of pushing the whole alignement for the war, push the elite.

Here is my idea: do a mini war in each alignement, e.g legion players will have their own war bar, legion factions will fight against each other, the best 5 or 10 factions will be chosen, same thing will happen in exile side. Once mini-war within each alignement is over, the big war starts between the best of exile and the best of legion factions.

To participate in the big war, you need to be active, by creating a great faction or by joining one.

Consider it like the play offs in NBA east vs west. Ofcourse, in order for this to be implemented, the game must be balanced to give all players a fair chance. Varium doesn't buy the war, because it's not logical for one player to play for 2 weeks in the war, and in the end another comes and do it in 30 minites. Time = money.

Nice idea but not supported.

War were made for everyone be you hardcore or casual to enjoy. This idea basically isolates anyone who isn't a hardcore, has plenty of time on their hands, or is unlucky and can't get into an active faction out of wars.

Even if the game was balanced this would be causing that problem.

If anything this would be better suited for tournament which are supposed to be like this rather than our wars.

This will give access to anyone that is active enough to participate in the war.

The mini war within each alignement will give everyone a fair chance, we won't pick 25 or 30 players from each alignement, we will pick 100 - 500 from each alignement depending on how much players are active.
To win in that mini war or atleast reserve a place to participate in the big war, you don't need to play 8 hours a day or 10 hours, you will need to atleast do a respected amount of influence, to show that you are ready for the war.

This is a primitive idea, ofcourse, more work can be added it to it, such not allowing same player to play in the big war for more 2 times in a row, or make wars depend on levels, or etc... for example, players who didn't make it to participate in the war, can also help their alignement with one way or another...

This idea will work great as a tournament, as the main reason why tournaments are held back, they usually put players head to head, and thanks to the awful balance we have, the loser will always complain, I didn't start first, he had more ranks, he critedd, he, he, etc... so the idea I suggested doesn't put them neck to neck as they fight in open PVP.

I do agree with this, in context.
First, I agree with @Mother1 that wars should stay open to all players.
This would, however, make an awesome tournament.
Here would be my change:
Make the wars based not upon the faction in general, but upon faction rank/lvl. Rank 6 factions would only fight rank 6 factions, rank 9 only fight rank 9, etc.
If factions fought in general, then what you would have would be a handful of powerful factions develop that would dominate every tournament. Think of weight classes in wrestling or boxing. You have light-weight champions, mid-weight champs, and heavy-weight champs. You will NEVER see a light-weight champ fight a heavy-weight, cuz he would be creamed, no matter how good he is.
The same principle should apply here.
Each rank would have a champion, that way there would be an even matching of strengths, not mere exclusivity.
I have a rank 29 accnt, but I almost never play it (just got board). It is in a powerful faction, but again, I almost never use it, so a strickly power-based faction tournament would not help me.
My lvl 24 accnt that I play most of the time, however, is one of the founding officers of a prominent rank 6 (almost 7) faction, and has a VERY impressive win ratio, especially in Jugg. So, I would want to be able to help my alliance pursue a rank 6 champion title rather than have to use my other accnt just to get a title.

Just a thought.

good idea but not supported

cause it just make time wasting longer and make war fro 2 - 3 weeks to 3 - 4 weeks no one wants a long war ... we have seen a long war that lasted 3 weeks in barrens so people got bored and devs reduced the influence needed to finish in order to make it faster .

I don't think we have a player base large enough to limit who gets in the war and who doesn't. If devs would attract more players first by implementing cool new features then this could actually be supported due to the fact that more people would be playing.

I also would like to suggest the idea of "Registering" for war. You simply pay a certain amount of credits to participate in war. However, to do this, we have to increase the reward system from the tiers

The player base is good enough for such a war, plus many players log in and log out through out the day.

Not supporting the idea because of how long the wars will take is absurd. Between mini war and the big war, there will be a break for factions of both alignements.

On topic:
This idea could work better as a tournament. But still war system needs a revamp. Exiles now are winning with more than 4 millions.
If you are saying that what happens now is not right, and on the other hand you say that all players must play, what logic is that?
Change takes sacrifice. To fix wars, and make them fair for both alignements, there are two solutions, limit the players who can participate in the war, or change the whole system.
It's absurd to say in one post that war system neer to be fixed, and in another post you stand against the change, if the idea is not complete, simply add something to it, because believe me, devs stopped working on the game, complaining about wars and waiting for devs to fix them will never work, because devs are busy in other things. And for god sake, just because your exile don't ruin the post saying absurd things, afraid to lose advantage, just like high rank players do. If exiles aren't up to the challenge, say it already, hiding behind the massive number of players exiles have is cheezy.
