but the dex mages were over looked in this update. (Since they also buffed plasma rain) But-- they weren't overlooked. Whilst testing, I was well aware of Dex TMs hence why the progression (Diminishing Returns) ended up how it is now - initially it was almost the same as Str has now. If we go above 1.0 Dex for +1 damage, we will end up with pre-x10 issue - stat point wouldn't grant you damage, although you would still get Defence boost. (loophole?) At the same time, we couldn't over-nerf it either. With luck changes on top of it, it was difficult to judge what else should be done to nerf one build that abuses the change, and not everyone else. Another DR tier at 105-110 Dex? Refer to the above. Lower Gun damage? Could work. But they also cannot Crit, which is an indirect nerf. Some may end up being unable to deflect, too - which is another indirect nerf. Right now, we ended up with minor imbalance with Dex TMs, and Dex TMs alone. There were people saying Dex BHs are getting similar results, but they have significantly weaker EP control than TMs, so they cannot abuse it as well. So this boils down to EP control + very high Dex abuse. Nerf EP control, and you affect every TM. Add another DR tier, and you may patch it up. (but again, refer to the first point I made) Lower Gun damage? It may work, but it'll also affect everyone. *if that happens, we will also have to look at Support again due to recent changes to Strength progression, Gun to Dex, and Support getting indirect buffs due to that* There is only so much you can do without forcing everyone into one build and causing huge imbalance - especially with the amount of changes we've made at once. The fact we only ended up with Dex TMs being a bit too strong, but not insanely broken, is pretty good in my opinion. Much better than when Omega started, and Str + Support builds were running amok, and it took a couple of patches to get it right.
