Draycos777 -> How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/3/2015 20:44:05)

Like the topic say's, what do you see, or who do you see when you think about the other rp'ers here in the forums? This was a topic I've thought of many times before but never talked about it. For me, this is the list:

TJ: I always picture one of his Varans, or a tall knight-type rogue with a sword and shield.

Arthur: Much like TJ, but more of a kingdomly knight than a rogue.

BK: I see Fellwalker or Sorlan. The rough and confidant guy.

Ging: Sorry, but after Hallows, nothing but Sera comes to mind anymore:P

Master K: I see the ninja picture. I think Isle's of Dragos engraved it.

Kell: I don't know to be honest. Kell's been around for so long, with so many different characters that it's hard to choose. One of my favorites being Kriege.

Apoc: Another EC character from last year: Connor

Bastet: Zayne or Ishia. Those straightforward characters that are down to earth and willing to do whatever it takes, but are able to take a joke from time to time. Or even throw one out themselves(you see alot of throwing being done by symph too)

Legen: A wandering swordsman type.

Zeph: Sayden or some other kind of sage character.

Remaint: So far I only have Woyadei to see, but I know that he has many more characters he wishes to share:P

they are others, that as I rp more with them, I'm certain a character of theirs will stick in my head.

And of course Ferret I see as an actual Ferret jumping on a keyboard. XD

So, how do you guys see eachother? How do you see me? Does Kit, the little queen show up? Or maybe the playfulness of Ytha coupled with the Straightforwardness of Rayna?

As they say, Discussion on!

Remaint -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/5/2015 18:20:05)

TJ: Fantastic Scandanavia! Many-ideas-man whose worlds have tremendous potential! Person who loves the letter "v"! Fellow appreciator of old things in arms! Wolf of Asgeir...Holy shiiiischeisse Toric bloody killed Toren! What, why!? Holy hell is Toric and even his girl ruthless! Varan-Raaaaahhh *Viking Yells~

Draycos: Initiative taking(a wonderful attribute), ever commanding, know-it-all mini queen! Friendly, arrogant, maybe-spoiled noble characters! Kitsondra or Arche(really Kitsondra)!

Blacknight: Funny, door-smasher confident hero who slays stuff in a dazzle of spectacularity! or the commander who won the hearts of many and hopes to aspire victory! The protagonist you cheer for! Soran!

Legendium: Deutschland!...err. A great, very good intended fellow character with much experience, but with a tragic past that aches the heart! That old guy you can't help but to admire and respect! The younger archer guy who's extremely promising; could maybe even wield 140 pounder bows, achieve 15 rounds a minute or whatever else! Especially good roleplayer! Heinrich von Hjaalreich!

Kellehendros: Army roleplays! Roman dudes, immensely effective organisation! Silly half-elf who takes the more difficult path! Mangy cat-thing who survives through sheer fortune! Awesome host of rps! Domrius, not any of his protagonists, but bloody damn Domrius himself!

Afina: The old, tired veteran. That grumpy guy in the back whose temper is only matched by his experience! >Lotsa characters I don't know about< Saraphims!

Starstruck: Whimsical, willy-nilly! Arbitrary and loopy! Absolutely WTF! I'll bare-fist the hell outta your weapons!!! Kerra Brzerzin of Kulak!

Bastet: Dragon-lady! Trumpeteer! I like her infiltrators more than typical ninjas, crossbows are great! A character you can't put too much trust in, a cold character, willing to discard an ally if need be. Comrade-in-arms to Draycos! Rajiri!

Crossbows very easily wound up to over 500 pounds in draw-weight, but even they failed against high-quality plate. It took some 3000 joules to defeat high-quality plate, but earlier handcannon achieved only 2900 joules(at maybe 100 yards? Not too sure). Some German museums held armour with shot marks, demonstrating that blacksmiths proof-tested their armours. Digressing here...~

Gingkage: An ordinary Dragonfable Rogue...Blinks. Sera.

Apocalypse: I confuse you with Bastet! Why you two so red!? Zombies! Dragon Nest! Lycan-paladin with a name I'll put to a dog! Versatile characters, Lucia and Nilburke will fit in any setting from Hallows' In, GtKY, EC and especially my own Dominion!

Starflame13: High-riding, knightly warrior on shining steed; the type you would halberd-hook to the ground and kidnap for ransom! Elesia, lightning witch!

Zephyrial: The other old guy you gotta respect! Some strategy, yes! I root for his wizards! His abomination strong-man is cool too! Sayden! Kenet the Wanderer!

Sigil: Stop nailing nails through your neighbor's wall! The reliable big-guy who keeps your head in check(probably through a punch to the gut), who guards your back, who's sharply and bluntly funny! Mr. Keystone!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I see TJ, Kell, BK, Legend and Draycos as the centres for interesting roleplays. Seeing a story revolving about Soran and Heinrich with a setting provided by TJ in tandem with Kell and antagonist/instigator by Draycos would be magnificent!
Afina -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/5/2015 19:01:55)
Sorry to disappoint. :p
Afina irl
Remaint -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/5/2015 19:06:35)
Maybe it's me, but the link leads to a broken facebook page?
Edit: Oh. Well. I'll still know you as the seasoned veteran, sitting on a chair at the back, playing some odd tune and being grumpy! :D
Afina -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/5/2015 19:07:34)
No, it's a fb error, edited and threw up the same image from my modeling account on deviant art.
Edit: hrm, I don't think the music I listen to is odd. Kamelot, Nightwish, Amaranthe aren't that odd and I am rarely ever grumpy. O.o Just that way to ppl who are pains in my rear. :p
Remaint -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (11/5/2015 19:18:47)
Pardon me for being a pain in your rear X3
I feel a little accomplished to be honest, despite my horrible GMing and RPing skills. These two descriptions right here are exactly what I strive for.
Anyway, I can't really throw out descriptions like you guys can, but here's what I can do for now:
Afina: The 'ancient goddess' of the RP boards. She's like the legendary RPer of ages long past, who has tremendous experience and emanates respect.
Kellehendros: The all-around, well-known, RPer. Everyone knows him, everyone respects him.
BK: It is one thing for yourself to improve, but to watch it - to see it happen? That's another thing. And BK is a perfect example. I was there when he first arrived, and I've seen him evolve into a well-known, well-respected RPer. I could literally see him improving with each new post. He's the perfect 'vision' for how RPers should be.
Draycos777: Kit. Kitsondra. When I see that big white, creepy, smiling face on the avvy, all I see is Kitsondra. He's also well-known and well-respected.
Tdub: Vlade. >:(
Remaint -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (1/25/2016 0:14:00)
Update~
Kellehendros: Typical characters may initially be very cold, but there’s always a burning passion underneath. Fearless through a dark, collapsing tunnel, unfazed by ten thousand enemy warriors, fire and hell be damned; through strategic domination or brute force, Kellehendrian characters will go to the ends of the earth to get something done. If I were to assign a concept to Kellehendrian ‘shape’, it would be The Avenger.
Bastet: Like Kellehendros, typical characters may be very cold in personality, but with Bastet, it is taken to a further level. From ancient origin to closest recency, the Bastetian characters can look into the eye of the soldiers who may serve them as they are torn to shreds, and not even blink. The Bastetian can murder the most innocent of children, the most sorrowful of women and the most cowardly of men without skipping a single beat. Super-consistent in action, frozen in temper and hardly ever distracted are such characters. I would assign the concept of The Frost Empress to Bastet.
Draycos: Upbeat characters that just scream, Go Team(or Go Me)! The objectives are always in focus, and the characters always have the will. They resolve themselves of all their vast resources to see their ambitions realized. Initially, they can seem arrogant, vain and pretentious, but when all others are indecisive, leave it to Draycosian forces to get something done. That being said, Draycosians are known for their pride, and their hubris may bring misfortune to them. Two cartoon characters come to mind as I ponder the Draycosian: Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion and Diane from The Seven Deadly Sins. Draycos is The Auxiliatrix.
Vanir: I say Legendium is an Expert in tragic characters, but I’ll say Vanir is a Master in tragic characters. Diseased and burnt, critterly and crawly, or lovely and lost, Vanir isn’t afraid to get ugly to explore the vastness and ends of tragedy. Through the caverns ‘neath a graveyard, through the dried well caked in blood, and through the rain-drenched streets littered with decaying corpses, Vanir is The Shadow Hero.
Apocalypse: If there is one word to describe Apocalyptic characters, it’s that they are diverse. Paladin Werewolf to Dark Lord, Alchemist Goblin to Pirate Elf, it would seem as though Apocalypse can be anything. I want to say Apocalyptics are usually chilled in personality, laid back and cool, but such phrasing only describes the latter half. The former are formidably iron-willed, and spare little to antics. Apocalypse is The Shifter Daemon.
Afina: The Afinese enjoy being in positions of power, and they wield an impressive arsenal of tools to keep them in seats of influence. Granted the abilities to govern large dominions, they revel in observing peasant, or otherwise ordinary lifestyles to which they find quaint. Aged and experienced in the nobler aspects of living, the Afinese demand something else, something more. The resources in their possession are grand, and they will use it to pursue the many pieces of a continent-spanning chess set. Afina is The Regal Steward.
I do have to say while Draycos is excellent in making villains, one that's greater in doing so is Afina. From reading her works, it is obvious she can create and wield a true Big Bad. While Draycosians can easily grate the nerves of heroes, it is the Afinese that will rob the heroes of their loved ones, steal the souls from their hometowns, and truly push them to their absolute limits. In Dragonfable terms, Draycos will play Drakath remarkably well, but it is Afina who will play The Mysterious Stranger.
I'm thinking an ideal roleplay will be one hosted by Kellehendros, due to his attention to detail and consistent management. The roles should be as followed: Vanir will be the primary protagonist with Draycos and Apocalypse supporting him(deuteragonist, tritagonist?). Afina is the endgame antagonist, Kellehendros is her right hand, but betrays her in the end, and Bastet will be the frozen-hearted executioner or ace murderer. The roles of Bastet and Apocalypse could be inter-changeable given how non-moral the first can be, and how versatile the second can be. Blacknight would certainly fit a protagonist's role somewhere around here with Vanir. Sigil is on par with Draycos in wielding supportive characters, it seems. (Not a serious suggestion; just what I think to be quite amusing.)
Bastet -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (1/25/2016 16:57:13)
I'll just list the first ones coming to mind because I'm about to go bed.
Ryu Viranesh was the person that helped the most, along with everyone else, to start. The help that was provided me during EC 2014 was nothing short of fantastic and actually got me started on this forum. An experienced figure, a cut above regular roleplayers, though always in touch with the community.
Kell is a great big experienced bear that always provides fantastic rp settings for everyone and grizzled characters that stand out for one reason or another. Great person.
Draycos is an upbeat little fella that always ends up interacting with me a whole lot, and it's probably become second nature by now. Just like everybody has their theme, his seems to be that his characters always end up involving girls whose age is frozen for one reason or another.
Afina is still somewhat of an unknown to me because I wasn't active when she was, but she seems to be another great addition to the league of explored players. Picture is beautiful, by the way.
Remaint is a bit of a troublemaker with interesting themes of his own, often proving to be a living encyclopedia on certain weaponry and techniques of old. I see him as a third addition to the band that has formed between me and Draycos, but I'm always trying not to exclude anybody from my interactions or make favoritism.
Sigillo is Keystone. Great character, great personality. GTKY wouldn't be the same without him.
TJ is another fantastic player that got me started with the hallows Inn. Perhaps not part of the great roleplayers yet, but a good storyteller in his own right. If you're reading this, TV, I'm very much looking forward to your proposed rp. Get it started! (I also need to get back to the Inn rp, Symphony wasn't done yet.)
Apocalypse seems like a good fellow, it wouldn't be the same without his quirky characters. It was great playing with him during EC 2015, though I'm still mourning S.O.N.A.R's loss. Gah.
Like I said, I'm sorry for everyone I've forgotten. If anybody wants a more detailed post, it will certainly come when I'm not about to fall asleep. Good night.
Master K -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (1/25/2016 17:26:56)
Draycos: Kitsondra. With that whimsical moon avatar, all I can see is Kitsondra under the nights sky. And even then, Kitsondra herself conjures up the image of Morrigan Aensland from Darkstalkers.
TJByrum: The Assassins guild and Isle of Dracos, and the Hallows Inn. Damn, The Hallows is one of my favorite RP's on this board, and the best I've participated in since I joined in 2009.
Afina: A drifting goddess of the RP boards. Been here much longer than I have been. I remember being in the old RPA reading her stuff from the higher up boards.
Kell: Old. Wizened. Been a mod since I've been here. Still has the same kitty as his avatar too.
Remaint: A fresh new face with a lot of enthusiasm.
Bastet: Someone with a knack for enigmatic characters, a la Symphony.
BK: Someone who's been around not so long as I have, been long enough to know of him quite well.
Sorry I don't have much to say about you guys. I've been somewhat out of the loop since the new RPA came in to play and everything slowed down. Many of the people I used to RP with are long gone or are now drifters. Plus, I'm also a drifter too.
I'd just like to point out, that by the time Hallow's start's, Rayna and Ytha are full fledged adults and Arche is still growing:P Not to mention Kitsandra was pretty tall for her age..meh whatever
Remaint -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (1/25/2016 23:52:00)
Now that you mentioned it, Master K, Kitsondra is easily reminiscent of Morrigan. Anatomically, anyways. I’m rather incapable of imagining Kitsondra acting so...succubusy. Morrigan was a vampire at her conception, too.
And I really have to thank you for introducing me to Darkstalkers unintentionally. The bit of artwork on the sprites, wiki and some fanart is just astounding and sexy. Well, regarding 3 characters at least.
Dimitri > Superman by far in terms of appearance, attitude and demeanor. He’s like a cooler, meaner and more badass Superman in all ways. Dimitri Maximoff even possesses an insipidly silly ability to genderbend characters!
...Which leads me to a newfound favourite design of mine: Jedah Dohma. This guy just radiates sexy from every action, pose and shapes he takes, certainly including when he gets Midnight Bliss'd.
Of course, little has to be said about Morrigan. Such a remarkable character design.
Time to feed my big, blue ego:
Remaint: Remaining characters are most certainly deviants of the realms they are placed within, if, they are not outright foreigners. They have ties with a dark realm of hadal nature and it is as if there are omnipresent underworldly entities watching their every step. With an unliving army at their disposal and with Father Physics himself primed for obstacle removal, the Remnants hammer at the universal barrier leading to infinite worlds. They seek to shatter boundaries, defy all perception and usher a revolution. Possible days will come when Remaining ambitions lead to the very deaths of universal powers. That day is far however, and the Remnants will only dream of being slayers of gods. I am, The Chaos Fledgling.
Master K -> RE: How you see your fellow Rp'ers. (1/26/2016 18:34:12)
As for myself? I usually play younger characters with a defining quirk, eccentric and elaborate appearances, typically introverted, and possess odd abilities that may or may not be supernatural. Inquisitive, and follow their own development arcs. Dreams, memories, and self reflection are re-occurring themes. Often times they carry a plot device on them that has deeper meaning and/or a character relevant secret.
My list of characters includes, but isn't limited to:
*A half dragon teenage warrior carrying the soulgem of his deceased dragon partner (Brendan, The Dark Descent)
*A paranoid ninja king who constantly obscures his appearance ("Master K", Isle of Dracos)
*A teenage white mage with a mysterious spellbook (Emilee Dawe, The Arena Challenge)
*A living doll, made from cloth, cotton and stitches (Aaron, Dystopia)
*A ruthless moglin assassin (Rendez, Well of Memories)
*A puppeteer looking for his missing sister (Nire, The Hunt)
*Bratty, dimension altering twins (Alexander and Violet, Prima 9)
*A soft hearted draconian assassin and his optimistic female partner. (Gladius and Danielle, The Assassins Guild Original)
*A witch in nun's clothing who constantly lies (Marcelline Wakefield, The Hallows)
