Gorillo Titan -> RE: Kickstarter (11/25/2015 23:25:34)

After several days Artix finally saw my suggetion of adding a kickstarter design a monster tier.

The AQ3D team is anxiously watching the Kickstarter!

There is so much depending on it. As well for the players of AQ3D!
I have been reading this thread and let me point out some things.

- AQ3D is NOT going to be 'pay to win' hence is why we chose for cosmetic kickstarter rewards instead of actual buffed items/classes. (I myself am hugely against pay to win, so made sure that didn't happen.)

- Guardianship is going to be granted to players that decide to pay to the game. It contains a class and access to the Guardian Tower. It is indeed not Kickstarter Only, but can also be unlocked later on.

- Alpha Pirate however, is Kickstarter only. As well as the Shadow Wolf Morph.

- Like Gorillo Titan pointed out; the rewards from other kickstarter packages also benefit the players that pledged less or couldn't afford to pledge to the Kickstarter.

- AQ3D is going to be different then AQWorlds, so we 're going for actual differences and more interesting features than what AQWorlds has as that's slowly descending to 'dress up game' level.

- We do still take suggestions for the Kickstarter, but Artix is in charge of it. As far as I know he did have some small changes in mind.

- INTERESTING here is:

-> If the Kickstarter does well, and we achieve our goal. We might decide to introduce 1 payment for lifetime guardianship and game currency packages. This will be interesting for free players, since there won't be monthly payments.
PLUS; we will be on Steam so people can access the game from anywhere and we can pull in new devices faster.

-> If the Kickstarter fails, we will not abandon ship. But very likely we have to introduce monthly payments for guardianship in the game or access to areas so the game is able to fund itself. Will create a smaller but dedicated community.

I hope this clarifies things for you guys and encourages you to aid us with setting up our game!!

Thanks for the update! :D

As I suggested before, Patreon is a great alternative to monthly payments and you all can still do another pre-release money pool through Indiegogo. :)

EDIT: nvm, I found the right topic. Ignore this comment. xD
