Is it me, or does AQ3D seem a bit difficult at first? Considering this zone very well could be one of the starters.
Mostly It seems a Clawg is an even match for a player w/o abilities, and given a bad enough streak of dodges, there's nothing besides clever tricks left.

Doesn't seem like something you'd expect first timers to be subjected to honestly :/

I agree. They are quite difficult, mostly because of the dodge rates. I think dodge rates should be nerfed quite alot. Also I think this kind of difficulty will only be in alpha because the level cap is 3.

Once you level up, yeah, but considering these are the first monsters that show up, and eventually we'll have fresh-faced beginners fighting them, they might feel the game is "Unfair" when a bad chain of dodges leads to a single level 1 mob killing them. Don't wanna lose people.

These monsters are not balanced, especially the ones in Battleon, which will be removed at some point. Right now, the monsters are harder because 1) They still haven't got around to balancing stuff, and 2) They're meant to be challenges for the Beta Testers, and thus are harder than they should really be.

As David said, part of it is for the challenge. There are currently only 3 levels in the game, so the exp grind isn't as bad as it seems. :)

I honestly enjoyed the difficulty. It required me to fight a mob with other people, especially the Clawgs until I could get enough gold for equips. It was very fun.
