The berserker killer -> Optional Skill points (12/29/2015 0:47:39)

My suggestion is 1 extra skill point, NOT STAT POINT, for every 10 ranks past rank 100. These skill points can be use to further enhance player customization, encourage players to play more, and allow them to be more flexible with their builds.

Said skill points will be optional to use, which means that you do not have to use ALL of them

Can you think of a build that suffers from too few skill points at the cap because frankly I can't and for that reason I can't support this.

If you can up with some examples then obviously my opinion is flexible

Well the idea isn't that builds are suffering in terms of not being good, theyre just not as good as they can be. Lets take tlm for example.

TLM suffers by not being able to reach its full potential. With free skills like frenzy and blood shield a player cant help to invest skill points into these skills. Yet by investing in these skills you make the sacrifice of actually investing into offensive skills. By the time you get to the offensive skills, you dont have enough skill points to invest into them to actually stand a chance in battle. One might suggest not investing so many skill points into skills like frenzy and blood shield, sure, but it's just as easy and could be way more beneficial to add features like this to the game.

And Pyro Fly wouldn't rule so much with more skill points.

Level 40s are already pretty overloaded with skill points because the trees are too tiny.

So, not supported.

I guess the only class that suffers from having a small amount of skill points is TLM. For instance let's take 5 focus build, you can not use atom smasher without sacrificing with a high level Bloodshield or lowering your frenzy. Since Atom smasher is at the bottom of the skill tree, and far worst, you would need to waste 1 skill point on multi just to reach it. With that being said, spending almost 35 skill points on primordial skills like 10 on battery back up, 10 on frenzy, 8 or 7 on poison, 5 or 4 on surgical, 2 or 3 on mineral and 2 or 3 on bloodshield, plus wasting skill points on some skills that won't be used anyways just to get access to other skills (stun grenade). You waste a good 39 - 38 skills points on skills that you just cannot neglect, then if you want to expand your skill tree to reach atom smasher, it would hurt your build more than help it, since you already use CSW which is useless, and you sacrifice with important skills.

So I guess TLM is the only class that suffers from this. This suggestion would fix this for TLMs but would be totally useless for other classes. So I suggest changing TLM's skill tree, in order to make atom smasher an easily accessible skill.

It really just depends on what build you are using. Besides, these are optional meaning that you do not have to use them

I mean I can go on about how bloodmages could use more skill points too. Just give us optional skillpoints and allow us to evolve a bit. If the concern is rank 100+s having too much power then give everyone more skill points for every 10 ranks starting from rank 10. Once again these points are OPTIONAL.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. THIS IS SO CRUCIAL
