Seeing as the bosses have been either 1v1, 1v2 or 2v2 fights, what about putting 2 bosses in one fight? Just don't make them with enough HP to last 10 hours straight. Maybe one boss can be the support, the other can be damage. When I say support, I don't mean insane Artillery and BC. I mean an actual support boss with the role of being a healer with every buff and debuff in the game, and it is able to use Battery Backup, Static grenade and every other Energy skill in the game. The boss shouldn't be dealing insane damage; that's for its Partner to do. The damage shouldn't be STR spam heavy striking. It should revolve around using skills for damage, with still good damage when the boss is out of energy.

You mean in this case we have the player being the juggernaut where as there are two NPC bosses instead of the other way around?

I'm actually surprised they haven't done this yet.
I like this idea, adds more variety to the type of boss encounters available.

@Mother1: Yes. The two bosses can synergize with each other, so you have to figure out which one to kill first for your build. With both alive, they buff each other.

They could make it abit like vath from the AQW series.

The Legendary version shouldn't have more stats. It could be something like each boss being able to resurrect the other boss to half health and giving them a random stat boost.

I support this idea as well. It sounds great. I have to agree with @Satafou, in that doing it like Escheron or Vath in AQW would be an easy route...aka, having one boss as high damage low hp, and one boss high hp low damage.

Additionally, I remember back when Chairman Platinum first entered the game, in the fight against him you teamed up with an NPC. Why not make NPC battles that can match each type of player battle? You have have 1v1, 2v1 (two players vs boss), Jugg (1 player vs 2-char-boss), and even 2v2 (2 players vs a 2-char-boss).

The 2v2 option could also allow lower lvl chars to take on the 2 char boss battle.

Just a thought.
