Pre-Beta Launches Early!

Surprise! PRE-BETA launches a day early. Kickstarter backers with EARLY ACCESS and players who have supported previous Artix Entertainment video games are welcome to join in this exciting new phase of testing. *Points up* The play button is in the upper right of the webpage.

A few notes!

- You have character pages now! - Link me to yours. The link is on the game' character selection screen. (Here is mine)
- Alpha Knights can pick up their armor from Melodia in Yulgar's Inn. Quests to get the rest of the pieces coming semi-soon.
- New lighting system! Your characters now have shadows. If you walk into a shady area.. you get.. all.. shady O_O
- Most of the Kickstarter Backers have filled at their forms and are alll set for PRE-BETA access! However, about 600 of you HAVE NOT filled out your forms yet! *librarian finger shake* If you are running into any problems with your Kickstarter stuff, please contact me there.

So would it be possible for Rhubarb (ONLY if he has the time) to code us links to our AQ3D Char pages from our forum profiles to accompany our ones from AQ, DF, AQW, etc? Maybe to our HS profiles as well?

So funny thing: The Trolluk Cave Storyline is all about fin ding a Trolluk Mace. When Searching the Trolluks right at the beginning of said questline, guess qhat drops? I wish there was a option to go "Here you are, found it" And just get all the XP and gold for the questline off the bat LOL. XD Although then you would miss out on AQ3D's funniest questline i guess.

What's worse is I bet most people don't even read all the "before and after" quest dialogue. I did! And that's a ton of reading![;)]

I've noitced a few changes since Alpha, but the gameplay is still very similar.
To be honest, I never thought of not having a shadow before. I can't even remember if there was a shadow or not xD

it's a literal wall of text.

like, there's a giant mini-page with a paragraph of text on it and a giant tempting X on the corner. not many people will try to read that.

they should've done it like Mabinogi did

I felt like many of the quest descriptions could be explained in much shorter ways.
The biggest example for me is this specific quest where you had to build a place to hide the nuts from chipmunks. The text is huge, repeats itself a lot, and tries to overly explain everything. A shorter version could be something like this:

"Flying eyes are natural predators of chipmunks. If we place the nuts in a shelter built from their remains, the chipmunks wont dare to get close. Some leather and bones should do it."
