Let's not laugh at our selves here ! Exile will be winning the next 10 wars if u implement war 3.0 ! And this is getting frustrating since legion needs a miracle to win now cause more that 70 % are exile and 30 % are legion , and exile players be like "why switching legion while I am already on the winning side ?" and legion be like "okay now since everyone know exile will win let me switch to exile and win my war prize" unless a legion player is a founder or a loyal player to his faction ! This war is pre-determined before it even begins .
What I suggest is to find a solution for this , and it's pretty simple ! Just give us back flag system and forget about this war 2.0 ! Like really it's 8 - 2 and will be 10 - 0 for exile next wars ! it's a pretty failure system as everyone noticed but of course exile will say no cause of their pre-determined wins . Bring back old flag system and influence per every battle ! Simple as that ...

Its funny, back in the old days it was the opposite, there was more Legion than Exile.
CAD was Legion during the first faction but we went Exile the second time around because of how many Legions factions were around back then.

Cant really help it in this situation without rigging the results. The players chose the outcome of this, and right now there's more Exiles than Legion, just like before there was more Legion than Exiles.

If players dont choose the change, then I dont think it should be altered. Since the whole point of this is based on player's choice.

What would be better to fix this imbalance issue is having a war that's completely un-related to Legion/Exile.
And randomly give the players a side, without letting them choose. Only then could you split it 50/50.

An example, Wolves vs Eagles (Random name for each side)
The game randomly places players on a side after the player opts in to the war.
And it has to be Opt-in based, so inactive players dont count.

This allows the game to balance things out better.
So if the Wolves are winning the war 250-180, then when more players opt in, the game can accommodate this balance issue by placing more players on the Eagles team, thus balancing things out better. This is fluctuating balance.

You're never going to achieve balance in wars in the current system, because the sides are predetermined.
There's more active Exiles than Legions ATM and no update is going to, or should change that.

EDIT: To add to this, the majority of rewards should be productivity based. So no matter who wins, players can still get rewards based on their productions.
Achievements only for the winners.

^ that's what I was saying exactly !

the problem is people's hunger for credits prizes and stuff ! well just simply take that away and return old flag/influence system as it is cause this one is bad like really I saw this level 31 with 100 1 vs 1 and like 400 2 vs 2 wins have 130 k + influence !! this isn't right at all ...

You have to create a reason to join legion.
First unlock legion players to switch, just allow exiles to switch for free.

A good reason might be this:
Increase the war drop to 100% vs the opposite alignment, and dicrease the drop to a really low % vs the same alignment. Exiles are always facing exiles players, so they wont be likely to get much drops.
Eliminate the war commander, so they cant abuse it to get drops (or just let them use it, I think after wasting a lot of credits they will stop).
Most of exiles players will join to legion because of the high rate of drop.

It's a good idea I guess, because it will help the worst alignment. Moreover if many exiles join to legion, the % of drop will be lower than exile. If this happens, some legions will switch to exile. and this will keep happining till both sides are balanced. Players wont switch if there arent an advantage of doing that.

And that's no reason to put them at a disadvantage either.

You either want a fair and even war, or you dont.
The current Legion and Exile teams will never allow for a fair war without handicapping Exiles.
That's not fair to the Exile players because they didn't sign up to be handicapped.

The best solution IMO is to get rid of this Legion vs Exile notion, and randomize the war participation.

Lets say for example, there's 800 Exiles and 400 Legions in the war.
Under this situation, whether you handicap Exiles or not, you have tons of Exile players that wont be able to find a match against Legion due to lack of Legion players.
Meanwhile Legion will never have a problem finding matches because the number of opponents is abundant.

By getting rid of Legion/Exile in the war, it means the participation wont be predetermined. With an Opt-in based war, where players get randomly placed into a team, then you can have a more balanced and fair war without needing to handicap an entire team.

Under the change I proposed in the Redux thread Wars would look closer to 600 Team A and 600 Team B.
This would be the more fair solution to it.

Not only would getting rid of LvE be better for war balance, it would also allow the devs to implement more teams, along with more features.
