The berserker killer -> Bot Passives? Active and Passive Boths (2/16/2016 14:38:28)

As of now we only have Active Bots. Meaning that each and bot is Active in the sense that you have the use the bot in order for the effect to take place. I would like to introduce a new bot type: Passive Bots. Heres hw this would work:

There are certain bots that aid the user without directly affecting opponent: Lionhart, Bio Borg, and Assault Bot. Ill go through each and every one of the bots below.

Lionhart : Increases the rage gain of you and your ally by 50%.

Bio Borg [/b}: Reflects 50% of melee damage back at your opponent

Assault Bot : Reduces 70% of all debuff effects on target.

Now the numbers are to up for discussion and to play around with but the idea is to completely remain the same. With my suggestion in place, each of the above bots specials will turn in to passive cores with the effects stated below:

Lionhart : Passively increases the rage gain of you and your ally by 5% per round at the end of each round.

Bio Borg [/b}: Passively reflects 10% of melee damage back at your opponent.

Assault Bot : Passively reduces 30% of all debuff effects on you and your ally.

It's a really good idea.
I can support it in lionhard and bio borg.

But I am not sure about assault bot. Debuff are practically deads, and add this feature to this bot will create another reason to stop of using malf and smoke at least.
Why would I malf if you have that bot? I will take 70% and you are going to use a shield, making my damage 30.
If buffs werent so strong, I would support that.

By the way, what about azrael borg?

Azrael Borg directly affects the enemy since it halves your opponents defse.

But, as I have stated, the numbers are entirely up for play. And there are more reasons to use malf/smoke/intimidate as opposed to just affect the damage you will deliver your enemy. Malf and smoke can affect various skills along with various luck factors hence making them entirely usable still and making assault bot more appealing to players.

Not really. A nomal smoke will take -30? around that (with a high tech). Well reflex level 6 gives you 34 dexterity WITH 24 SUPPORT! and it just need 160 energy. You are wasting a lot of energy in a skill that will get destroyed easily with a cheap skill. It'd be worst if your target could lower your debuff without doing a move.

Dont missunderstand me, I like your idea and I would support the assault bot improvement if debuff were better (maybe buffs should cost more or debuffs cost less or more strong). But the reality is that if it is implemented buff will be worst than how they are now.

hmmm , you mean creating new robots or make old ones like so ?

@Racing: The number is completely up for play so please feel free to suggest a new % but I must say that I find a few of your concepts very flawed. Firstly, buffs are not weak at all. They offer a lot of usability. If used correctly they can force your opponent to waste a turn, increase your damage out, decrease the damage of his/her skills, and/or decrease your opponents chance of luck factors. Secondly, this is one single bot that has been underpowered and underused for the past 2 years. If anything, it will get a bit of attention meaning that not every player will use the assault bot. Thirdly not even class has reflex boost, meaning that not all classes can completely cover their bases and increase their dexterity or technology or strength in every situation.

The scenarios you are giving mainly need 3 requirements to be fulfilled: 1) your opponent having assault bot 2) you being a bounty hunter 3) your opponent also being a bounty hunter (since bounty hunters are the only class who has reflex boost). Given the fact that there are 10+ bots in this game, 6 classes, and at least 300 players, I must say that the chances of that scenario coming up is slim.

@Shadow: That's another thing, I was thinking that a new version of these bots can be released. They'll be the same bot but just with passives as specials instead of having the active special itself. This way those who want to keep the normal style of the bots can feel free to do so.

shadow.bane -> RE: Bot Passives? Active and Passive Boths (2/18/2016 7:16:52)

^ i guess it will be a game braking since everyone who loves a certain bot will have to have 2 of them one in active form and one in passive form ! and IMO that everyone will throw active and go for passives will be waste of money.

racing.lo.mas -> RE: Bot Passives? Active and Passive Boths (2/18/2016 14:34:51)

If smoke and malf stills being bad then there isnt a chance of making the bot back.

If these skills were more used, the bot would work without any buff.
IMO if you buff malf and smoke making a nerf to shields and those skills, then the bot would work.

The berserker killer -> RE: Bot Passives? Active and Passive Boths (2/18/2016 18:30:09)

Well can you elaborate on why you think buffs need a boost? I personally cant see any reason. They have a large effect on the match

@shadow: Although it is our opinions, I cant say that everyone will go for the passive bots. The passive bots are generally much weaker than their active counterparts (in terms of their special). For example, the liongart bot. Currently the lionhart bot special boosts your rage and your opponents rage by 50% then goes in cool down. The passive will only grant you and your partner a 5% buff which is only a tenth of what the active bot has to offer.
