I just started playing yesterday, so I'm not sure if this is a very good farming strategy, but if you take the quest that Warlic gives (obtain 1 frogzard drop), on the way to the first field kill the chickens in town and hope for the golden egg drop (100g each). Once in the field kill frogzards. If there are people farming there, try to get at least one hit on frogzards as they spawn. The frogzards sometimes drop a trophy worth 50g. After getting the quest item (sometimes the tooltip for quest completion doesn't come up, so check your quest progess every 4 kills or so) head back to the town. Kill the chickens on your way to Warlic. Once in warlic's shop, click on him and finish the quest. The quest gives 100 xp, 20 g, and two frogzard drops (100g). The quest is repeatable so you can just rinse and repeat. Once you get into the flow of the pathing, it becomes really easy. you can also bunny hop in the town to decrease the time it takes to get to Warlic and back.
