1) Yes, Rank System shoud have never been added. Will it be removed? Maybe not.
And don't worry about high ranks, you should worry about ranks between 30-40. All you need is +30 resistance and defense, +30 primary and something else for your build. With low ranks this will be enough, vs high ranks you will have the underdog mode. Thats enough. Rank 80 dont give you a full advantage since you can have things like +40 bot that only works in focus builds.

2) Well, it's true that the old desings where nice, but the new gears arent bad at all. Some of them are also cool, but they arent special as they could be in another phase. It is not a desing problem, the problem is they lost their essence. All weapons were different and you were excited about every single weapon in game unlike now.

It's difficult to make an awesome package as you said. It was easy before, you could make an awesome promo just adding a new armor or a new sword. Promos used to give 1 or 2 weapons, no more than that. It was enough, they just added some different stats and work done. Right now you have to do a complete gear with swords, bots, mutatings, guns, aux and an armor, and all of them with a core. Why? Because without a core they wouldn't be special at all, and who would spend money in a promo with nothing good?
Promos take too long to be created, they need 11 weapons with 6 different cores.

3) You want to bring the old builds back, but, how would you do that?
And even though it was a bad idea to take passives, they won't add them back.

1) I agree ranks should've never happened.

2) The thing about the old weapons is that they took a ton of time to make.
I remember a video of Nightwraith drawing (Digitally, not sure if he had already done a physical drawing) the Azrael Sword and it took him like 12 hours.

From a business standpoint, that time and effort isn't warranted for ED given its player population.
This is why they've moved on to developing for their mobile games since they're yielding better results than ED.

3) Sadly they've already said they wont bring back passives. Which was a mistake removing them IMO.
The stubbornness is strong in the devs, so dont expect a reversal in this one.


If you have to think twice before recommending ED to someone, then you're doing it wrong.

This should be worth it if tons of people will buy it, maybe with a big barium package like it was sold. It would make the players happy. This would also probably bring more players to the game.

I agree about the suggesting thing, I would suggest to get more players because I've always loved the game, but I'm not even close to enjoying it as much as I used to. And the designs of the newer weapons that I find ugly seems to take a lot more time than the old weapons.

The thing is that playing against someone in a high rank is nearly IMPOSSIBLE if you're not in one yourself.
And I look through every weapon nearly everytime there are new ones and there's not a single one I like most of the time after early 2011, when the stun gun and eggzookas etc. existed.
I really wanna buy a 10k barium package soon for myself and to support the game but right now I don't find a reason to spend that much money. A good design would make me buy one, but one weapon with a nice design and core would be enough for most people. And I mean come on, pretty much everyone want an old nice designed item like founder armor or frostbite even if it doesn't have it's own core.

And for them to bring back the old builds they would have to bring back some/all of the old skills.

There are so many things that are wrong it's hard to list them all.

The ranking system isn't good. I agree that there should just be a max level and nothing more beyond that.

Weapons should have their own unique stats as well as level. Weapons should be like they were. Then some fit a certain build whilst others maybe don't.

Don't get me started on the wars. They're just stupid in my opinion.

Passives like bloodlust and reroute should be brought back. Some NPC's still have them. But I guess the devs have said that they are not coming back.

All classes should be kinda equal. Some should be able to defeat the other easily and vice versa. Skill has to be what decides if you win or not. Not your level.

I personally think that health and energy boosters should be brought back. They helped and often made things interesting. And you often lost even though you used them. I also think that Battle Tokens should be put back in to the game. Achievements shouldn't be bought with money but with how many battles you've won. I think that the removal of Battle Tokens was the stupidest thing ED ever did. They did so much. I hope that one day. One day in the distant future, the devs realize that the removal of Battle Tokens was a horrible idea

Juggernaut I think is still broken. Haven't tried it in many months. Fix that please.

Warping. It's really stupid. There are too many NPC's to jump to. When you couldn't jump there was kinda annoying. When you could jump there if you had a home was better. And when you could always jump to a place but you jumped to the starting location it was the best. Now that you can jump to any npc it's really stupid. I always waste a lot of time looking for the NPC. You also don't see the whole place, you're not exploring anything.

The "new" omega achievements lists I think are bad. I liked it when there were just pages that you could scroll through (back in all the phases except for Omega). I think that they should put that back but have order. So all phases are listed together. Bosses together, misc together and events together. But they're still listed in the order you got them.

What I have always hated is the fact that you have to claim the phase achievement. That's the reason I didn't get my Beta achieve. I'm still butthurt. I was a noob and didn't even know about it. I want it so bad.

If they want to get more people to the game they'll have to stop being so stubborn and listen to what the people here, on YouTube and everywhere have to say. That's the only way.
And maybe hire new people to the team. Maybe people that actually played the game and really know what's best for it.

Agreed. Easier to balance. If they want to encourage people to play more, I had a decent idea. They could add ''prestiges'', where you reset your level back to 1 and get a coloured name. Could follow the sequence of the stars, i.e blue, then red. Obviously, it'd be a good idea to make levelling a smoother process before implementing this. Every new player I've met has been discouraged straight from the get-go, which is NOT a good sign.

Would be more fun, but there's too many weapons in the game now. At the very least, they could add stat requirements to certain cored items (i.e azrael gun). This would mean that players still use a variety of items, and that even special cores have trade-offs for using them.

''Stupid'' is a gross understatement. The Frysteland war, the first one, was really good. In my opinion, bring back the old influence, battle token and flag capture system. And do one big war event per year. Something fresh and on par with the Frysteland war.

100%. The game is not fun without them. Everyone can unanimously agree there. Even mods/testers think that.

Hard to achieve, but at the very least, underdog mode is a good start. Also, removing ranks and encouraging competitive battles at the level cap which are balanced and strategic would be rgeat.

That would mean removing cores like generator though. So I'd say no. However, I 100% agree about the battle tokens. I used to love battling, if only to collect tokens. ''Too much currency'' is the worst argument I've seen to remove them, and incidentally, the only one.
Juggernaut I think is still broken. Haven't tried it in many months. Fix that please.

Warping is okay. I don't think revamping the map/travel system is a major concern for now. I used to love the old achievement interface, AND the fact that I could see peoples' achievements in battles. It made for healthy competition between friends and random opponents.

Funnily enough, I've literally spent years suggesting these common sense changes. I don't know why I'm still bothering to write all this down. It's stupid. Fixing the game is not rocket science.

I wouldn't remove the rank system but rather change it so that the ranks don't affect PVP battles. If this change was made and other perks were added (Slight increases to credit rewards, slight Decreases to credit prices, Increased wardrops/drop rate Etc ranks wouldn't be bad and those who play would still be rewarded it is a win/win)

With Passives I would personally love to see them come back, however it has been said numerous times that they weren't going to bring the back no matter how much the masses wish for it. So until they decide to change their minds ask for them is like beating a dead horse.

Prestiges would only work if there was a large player base with other prestiges players. It wouldn't be fair to have prestiges players going against non prestiges players seeing as it would be like sending the newer players to the slaughter causing them to quit at lower levels not to mention anyone who doesn't want to use this mode would end up at the mercy of those who due use it seeing as it would end up making their player pool even smaller due to this and the same could be said for the prestiges players.

Disagree with your argument there. Given that most low levels are currently alts, new players are discouraged from trying straight from the get-go. I have talked to a handful of new players in the last few weeks and they were not motivated to reach level 40 at all. And starting again from level 1 means that it'd still be a level playing field. The only disparity I see is ''experience vs inexperienced'' which happens anyway, as I mentioned earlier. Additionally, I don't care if prestige is just a PvE experience too. I don't mind NPCing to level up.

Having ranks only affect NPC battles is a good idea.

When have the devs said the passives won't be coming back? Got any proof? Even the head of balance, Mecha Mario, wants them back.

latest thread about passives being locked with an AK stating that the staff themselves said Passives won't be coming back.

There are several and to be honest, I am surprised that this hasn't been put into the FSI.

As for the changing of ranks to only affect NPC battles and not shift the power in PVP battle's I made a topic some time back about this when the damage of ranks was bad but not at this point. However, it was shot down if you like I could post a link to it.

Lastly for Prestige topic, IIRC has been brought up several times and many of the reasons why it was rejected was for the reasons I posted. In COD (which this feature is in) has it where only Prestige players only fact other Prestige players for this very same reason. If it was limited to NPC it could solve this issue for those players, but at the same time it would still hurt those who don't want to use this feature with longer wait times since their player pool would shrink for every player who does use this feature.

I thought about ranks, obviously, they do affect the balance in harsh way. However, since they have already been implemented at a great cost to the players who are currently at a very high rank, it would be extremely unpopular to remove them.

However, with the right compensation, say 10k credits + 10 arcade tokens + a varium head per rank sounds like perfect compensation. (Along with reimbursement for credits spent on legendary points.) This would lead to a very painless transition.

Please do understand that I am not asking for ranks to be removed, I only wish the rewards be changed from PvP advantages to credits, tokens and cosmetics instead, i.e., the removal of the legendary mode. This way high ranks will still have meaning too.

IF they ever removed ranks I'd at least want to keep the level cap at 40 forever and still have a blue name. Refund if possible for each rank. 100% not like before with enhancements being refunded.
