600 wins and 6 hours until the reset. The account is probably legit because the owner is either using a proxy or a VPN. Mods are helpless even if they want to help. If anyone think this is a legit account, then I have no idea how a new player, level 21 can achieve 600 wins in 18 hours.

The solution is up to the devs, limit the effect of alts and bots by eradicating the problem.

It's quite messy now and in-game report system can't solve it. The problem doesn't stop here, this also affects the only and last feature in-game which is war system. The alignment that has more alts can basically easily win. Simply the competition in this game is compromised and I don't know if the devs fancy this fake playerbase.

Its happening way more in 2v2 and jugger then 1v1 and effects a lot more people.

But honestly this is low priority to me the leaderboards are meaningless with the balance and legend ranks in game , Remove ranks fix balance..... then deal with trophies , a trophy for a fight that was mostly over before it began doesn't mean much tbh.

and he has 742 wins now

Lord Machaar -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/19/2016 23:32:14)

This doesn't affect the leaderboards only. There is a correlation with war system as well, wins usually grant you war drops, so using enough alts/bots with VPNs/proxies can compromise the competition.

Eitherways, the leaderboards alone give a sufficient reason for the devs to do something about it. We are talking about a PVP game, and fair competition in such games is quite crucial. And the suggestions that are mentioned are quite simple for the devs to implement. Fixing ranks on the other hand and balancing the game will take more effort from the devs, otherwise it could end up to enhancements 2.0.

leahnrachel -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/19/2016 23:35:59)

The devs have no interest in fair competition ......

Mercenarys have been useless for how long?
Tlms have been to effective for how long
Strength abuse at the endgame has been to effective for how long?
dex abuse has been way to effective for how long?
Legend ranks have been allowed to stay in game in there completely broken form and ontop of that they used to be only able to only face 38+ in 1v1 .

The devs have no interest in fair at all.... Don't waste your keyboards durability , Join everyone else in hibernation.

Lord Machaar -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/20/2016 0:15:38)

The war system is what currently keeps a lot of folks sticking around, I'm not directly talking about leaderboards (less important), but also the war system. Simply for the classes to be fixed, everyone will have to wait for the devs to do something, and that will pretty much take some months time. If you don't make sure legit players stick around for an ED review, then devs will find 0 reasons to fix the game in the first place.

Realistically speaking, devs can easily fix the alting/botting problems compared to other complex balance problems. Meaning that if devs decide to spend few days in order to fix such problem, they will help maintain a legit playerbase for the upcoming months. A major balance revamp for ED will probably consume months, most players don't have patience, and with the game currently being broken, that will just give them another reason to leave the game.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/20/2016 6:51:02)

This is just a routine now. Been complaining about this for a long time now. Thnx to these spam accounts, legit player can't win a daily :/

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/20/2016 14:56:57)

Smurfing is a thing that a lot of other games have and it's really just way too difficult to deal with it in a 100% accurate and fair manner, without burning incredible amounts of time that could be instead invested on development. I think the quick and easy fix would be to simply make wins that lower levels have worth less in terms of impact on war and on the leaderboards. Make lower levels win less influence when they win, change the leaderboards to a point system where once you hit certain benchmark levels the amount of points you get goes up, etc...

leahnrachel -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/21/2016 8:28:54)

Just played 15 games at level 35

14 losses 1 win

8 of the games I had a dummie acoount on my team clearly , 7 were against 2 40s/ 38/39 +40 with lower then 40 partner on my team. This matchmaking is unacceptable at a level where people know how to use such a huge advantage.

And the dummying I wont go there , I cant win on a 35 in these matches and I'm prettys good 90% win rate 1v1 , bout 77% 2v2 (dummys and kids cripple 2v2 %) I don't want to play when the game tells me I should be slaughtered repeatedly , players that aren't as good have even less reason to play.

I'm mad bluntly get a clue ED.

Lord Machaar -> RE: Alternative Accounts and Bots (6/25/2016 0:44:31)

The suggestions given do not make the game any more hard for any player. They simply aim to make the competition fair for everybody. We aren't really asking developpers of a small indie game company to make a tool to detect bots and ban them, since multi-million companies out there couldn't do that, it's quite impossible for a gaming company with this caliber to do any better.

The suggestions are mainly doable and easy to implement by the devs, hence making the game botting-proof and alting-proof. It doesn't have "huge" collateral damage.

Sounds like fair suggestions. "Points per battle" sounds like a fair idea, without even limiting the leaderboards to a certain level range. I'm not sure what's hard about this to get implemented or how could it affect the game?
