Whatsisface -> Crafting materials that can be only obtained once (6/21/2016 23:24:29)

Sooooooo........ I sold the Silver Pedant. I thought it was just a 1000 gold reward for finishing the main dungeon quests and I didn't realize at all that it was a crafting item that couldn't be obtained ever again. Which is lame. Now I can never get the new cape. I wanted that cape but I didn't realize that the Pendant was needed for it. Sure, you could say that I should have payed attention and I just chose the 1000 gold over the cape but I don't like how that works.

If there's an item that isn't rare I think that a mistake like mine shouldn't make it impossible to get that item if I didn't sell the item directly. Especially if it's a crafting item like the Tegmina Cloak. I think that there should be another way to obtain the Pendant again, even just buying it back directly from Lindra for more gold than you sold it for. I feel like crafting shouldn't use exclusive materials, so that you could even craft the same item multiple times if you wanted.

tl;dr I'm salty that I sold the Silver Pendant and can't get Tegmina Cloak.

Edit: I've been told it's possible to get multiple pendants, so I'm probably wrong about everything.

The Silver Pendant can be obtained by doing Lidra's secondary set of quests that appear after you finish the main quests in the Umbral Caves. The "Polishing Silver" quest gives you another Silver Pendant in return for a Grime Covered Pendant which drops from the boss, Ixtis Harvester.

Yep, I realize that now. I thought that the repeatable quest was for the pendant you got from the main quests. I was in a bit of a panic since I thought I couldn't get the cape anymore.
