lol
Yes, it is intentional. A good amount of misc items give you a face while the item is equipped.

Edit: Didn't see the "F".

Biokirkby -> RE: Miscellaneous/Accessories - Read the first post! (3/10/2020 16:50:30)

Although it's normal to give a face with a misc, this always gives the female face, regardless of the player's actual gender. Either that, or we gain some rather plump lips.

From the April Fools '20 quest: Clever Disguise. Kam says:

Non-elemental misc. Boosts CHA/LUK and lowers BtH of incoming attacks (effectively an MRM boost, but since this is non-elemental the final numbers are 80% of normal, so wouldn't look good having decimals on MRM). You can also click on the misc icon in the upper left to pay SklSP (25% Melee) and skip your turn to give both your pet and guest Celerity.

Protocea

Non-elemental misc, so pays *1.2 SP cost for its effect, gives +CHA and +END (boosts your END, and looking healthy makes you look better too!), MC effect is skill compression. Clicking on the misc opens up a menu with 4 skills. Skills 1-3 cost 120% Melee in SP to cleanse Burn, Poison, or Bleed, respectively, and replace them with equal potency Regen status effects (So a 5 turn 20% Melee damage Burn gets replaced with a 5 turn 20% Melee heal Regen, and a 1 turn 10% Melee damage Burn will get replaced with a 1 turn 10% Melee heal Regen, both costing the same 120% Melee in SP). Bleed doesn't have a set duration like Burn/Poison, so Bleed calculates its total power and gives a 4 turn Regen based on the total power, so a 20% Melee damage Bleed with a 50% recovery save has a total 20/0.5 = 40% Melee power, so that turns into a 4 turn 10% Melee Regen. Skill 4 is only usable if you don't have any of Burn/Poison/Bleed statii on you, and costs 48% Melee in SP to grant the player 4 turns of +10 DOT Resist; this gives resistance to any status effects which deal damage, including Burn/Poison/Bleed, as well as Control, Spirit Seed, and Backlash. All of these skills are quick-cast, and have *1.2 cost due to being non-elemental.

MCSell	5	Z	Z	Z	Z	Z	Z	Z

The cost for the DOT Resist status is based on the player's current level, while the cost for converting the Burn/Poison/Bleed is calculated based on the level of the monster (since you can have multiple instances of burns and such on you now, we just use mob level since odds are it's the mob inflicting this stuff on you). Sample numbers for these are below, with SttsSP showing the cost to cleanse a status of that level, and ResSP showing the cost to apply the DOT Resist status at that player level.

Any news on the new cupcake and the all the new equipment from last update?

joac1144 -> RE: Miscellaneous/Accessories - Read the first post! (10/22/2020 18:13:46)

I don't know if we are going to get official info on the items, so here's my info:

quote:

AQ's 18th Birthday Cupcake is a misc. It gives you potency to Daze and Fear, making it easier to inflict those statuses on the monster. It also makes you take up to 50% less Light damage and gives you a bit of CHA.

quote:

Porcelain Teapot is a misc. It gives you +20% Earth damage and has a spell-based skill that pays almost all of its damage to inflict Bleed and Paralyze on the monster. Its damage is based on your END. Bth is based on END/DEX. The skill costs nothing to use other than your turn.

Lorekeeper -> RE: Miscellaneous/Accessories - Read the first post! (10/26/2020 20:26:01)

Porcelain Teapot

MC Earth misc. Boosts END and outgoing Earth weapon/spell damage.

MC: You can click on it and spend your turn to cast a spell-like skill. It deals -100% damage (so no damage unless boosted) and uses END/4 for stat damage & END*3/40 + DEX*3/40 + LUK/40 for stat BTH. If it connects then it leaves the monster Paralyzed (1*[mob Earth res] turn) and Bleeding (power:0.405). The monster can resist each with a save at a +0 bonus (inflict with END/LUK, resist with END/LUK on both).

Hollow Dragon Amulet

Works similarly to Irt of Osiris, in that instead of lowering the damage you take, you heal for a % of the Wind damage you just took.

[Technical note: You actually heal HP equal to [Heal%] / [the attack's additive damage multiplier], so if you're using something else that affects the monster's damage, then you'll heal a different amount.]

Revamped Discount Mogloween Candy

Converts MP to HP. Click it to pay the listed MP (worth 40% of spell cost, AKA 50% Melee), and you'll gain the listed HP (= to % Melee of cost paid x 0.9 due to being always useful). The cost paid is calculated based on the item's cost level (so is slightly cheaper for Guardians), while the amount "healed" is calculated based on the item's power level. 8% of the time, you'll get 162.5% of the normal HP, listed in the HPCrit row. This uses a global variable that all other potential future MP2HP converters will share, and you'll only be able to use such an effect twice per turn. This now scales, and the existing versions have been updated to scale as well as have the Legendary tag.

From Frostval 2020: Welcome Home: Unbound Revelation. Kam says:

Fire resist misc, makes you take xFire% Fire damage, also boosts 3 stats by the listed Stat value. MC effect is it can toggle between two modes; by default it boosts STR/INT/END, AKA Hybrid mode, click it to toggle it to Beastmaster mode, which instead boosts CHA/DEX/END. Is two misc items in one, essentially, so has x2.2 gold cost.

MC Misc. Gives you a Harm Backlash against dragons (25% damage reflected, -20 save penalty, inflict with END/LUK, resist with END/LUK). Costs the listed MP per turn. The damage has the Poelala outlevelling formula, to make sure that higher-level charms are more powerful.

    Giftbox item: Quadforce

    MC Light item. Gives a bonus to Light resistance, outgoing damage*, and LUK (x0.5, +20%, and +50 at Lv150, respectively).

    You can invoke the power of any of the four aspects of the Quadforce (Power, Courage, Wisdom, or Moxie) to boost a stat (STR, CHA, INT, or DEX) to [Expected Main Stat]. This costs SP per turn per stat boosted; due to how weirdly [Expected Main Stat] scales by level, the cost is:

    Level <= 109: -0.000014325*CostLevel^2 + 0.003795*CostLevel + 0.225
    Level >= 110: (23.6063 - 0.01875*CostLevel)/46

    ...of a Melee skill. (That's roughly 22.5% at Lv0, 46.8% at Lv109, and 45.1% at Lv150.) This boosts it like a status does, so boosting your INT doesn't increase your MP, etc.

    *To all elements; spells get /2 and magic weapons get /0.75
