Warmaker04 -> Problems of the current arcade system and possible improvements of it (12/16/2016 13:01:43)

The sellback cost of the items won from arcade should be increased from 20 credits to 500 +. Because why not?

Mother1 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/16/2016 13:05:51)

Because the arcade was never meant to be a place to farm for credits. Also there are items in the arcade that sell for more than 20 credits.

Silver items cell for 150 and gold items sell for 1000 with the exception of a few statues which respectively can sell for 3,000.

Besides unless you are actually spending money on the arcade tokens you use you are gaining something for nothing every spin.

Warmaker04 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/16/2016 13:17:54)

Well not really. You can get arcade tokens from a lot of missions or gifts

Warmaker04 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/16/2016 14:09:37)

An arcade token should drop in battles with 5-10% chance.

ambien -> RE: Arcade system. (12/18/2016 22:09:48)

also they have to improve the drop system so that the junk items take a break it dropping use 45 tokens an get 99.9% of junk brown items that is sad.

always the syfy

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 1:01:22)

Way too much junk. I spent over 100 tokens and still did not get a single golden prize. WTH?? The % is less than 1% for gold? That is just too damn stingy.

Mother1 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 1:59:04)

@ Soul Prisoner

Irony is this isn't the first time they made something like this. Remember back in delta with the Ebil haZard husk drop from Snork? Both the energy and physical had a drop rate of less than 1% as well.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 5:43:17)

Ya.. and then they converted that armor into arcade prize with ever more less drop rate. Talk about typicality.

crownthedeadman -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 11:02:40)

i usually have a better luck in these things ( even though that's just a myth) but the arcade drop really seems low. Haven't got "anything" usefull uptill now except some house stuff, which again is just decorations. as for snork drop (not bragging ofc) got that on 7th try... so it really is not good to get nothing even in 70th try

dfo99 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 11:47:10)

after the battle drops removal and before the gift event introduction get credits became really hard, the missions and pvp where the main ways, the arcade prizes price is from this ed period.

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Arcade system. (12/19/2016 16:38:01)

I think, but don't quote me on this, that the drop chance for a gold item from the arcade is 1%. Once it determines that you got a gold one, it chooses which of the different possible gold prizes there are that you receive.

Rolling 100 times and not getting a gold one is unlucky, but does not indicate the drop rate is less than 1%. The chances of you not getting a gold drop from 100 rolls is actually somewhere around 70-80% on really rough estimate?

c1729 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/20/2016 4:10:54)

^ The chance of you getting a gold (assuming the chance of a gold is 1%) from 100 tokens is 63.4%

So not getting a gold is 36.6% not 70 to 80%

Exploding Penguin -> RE: Arcade system. (12/20/2016 17:50:44)

My bad, I reversed the numbers in my head. I meant to say that the chance of getting a gold was on rough estimate of 70-80%, which was still off by about 10% of the exact. Thanks for providing the actual numbers, though.

Warmaker04 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/22/2016 12:42:04)

There is something I just don't get. Arcade tokens are now easy to get as there is a gifting event going on. So my question is : Why does 1 arcade token cost 100 varium? If anything, it should cost 500-1000 credits instead of 100 varium.

Anyone who currently buys arcade tokens will most likely waste varium due to the low values of the gold prizes (not to mention they are so difficult to get). There are two problems :

Problem 1 . The first problem is the percentage of getting a gold prize. It should be increased without a doubt, ESPECIALLY because of (Problem 2)

Problem 2 . The second problem is that there are nearly no prizes worth trying for (well except the Endless Spirit and probably the Pink Yeti [even though almost nobody uses yeti anymore but you know, there is a balance thread for robots]).

More gold prizes should be added such as rare cores. How about putting all these cores (Tranquility, Massive Strike, etc) in arcade? Or something which is actually worth to spend arcade tokens on. I do not want to get armors / guns / swords because you know... this is Omega, not Delta. You can even fully upgrade your Basic Club so it doesn't really matter. Not to mention the sellback of the bronze items is 20. So spending 100 varium for one arcade token just to get a bronze item and sell it for 20 credits seems legit? Of course it doesn't UNLESS you want to spend 10000 varium(100x100) in order to get the gold prize which is just a total waste. (and it doesn't matter whether a gifting event is going on or not. these problems are in general)

Step 1 : I *facepalm* when I know I have to spend 100 arcade tokens after I opened 300 gifts, just to make some space. And I can't simply get rid of the Arcade Token as it is a miscellaneous item.
Step 2 : I roll 100 times, get 88 random bronze items and 12 silver items (for example). I won't count the silver items in my calculations below.
Step 3 : I sell all the bronze items -> 88 * 20 credits => 1760 credits. Now lets assume I opened 88 gifts with 750 credits in each of these gifts. 88*750 => 66000 credits.

You serious?

p.s : Once I rolled 384 arcade tokens and didn't get a gold prize.

8x -> RE: Arcade system. (12/22/2016 14:34:08)

How about instead of complaining about you truck loads of free arcade coins and free credits, you try to convince them to improve inventory system and make all your free arcade tokens stackable. And while they are at it, they might as well make it easier to sell all your free gear which you have too much of. Back in the old days you had to fight hard to earn 67760 credits, but now it seems to be just absurd that you get so little for doing such a tiny amount of mindless clicking.

Since I'm on a roll, I might as well suggest more, they could instead simply add a yes or no option after you win an item in the arcade. That way, you don't have to work so hard to sell all items received from your free arcade tokens.

Also, if I remember correctly, sometimes in the old arcade you could actually get nothing at all. How about they bring that back? It would make bronze items feel more valuable.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Arcade system. (12/23/2016 1:12:04)

^In short gifting devalued EVERYTHING! Expect maybe Dev's bank accounts...? [8D]

Warmaker04 -> RE: Arcade system. (12/23/2016 8:31:18)

8x, the idea of stackable items has been suggested many times but I think it is no use telling you that they never listened so... I really don't know how it is up to me to convince them.

So yeah, gifting indeed devalued everything. Some players already got millions of credits without even battling or doing missions (because why doing so when they can just wait for someone to send 100 gifts).

8x -> RE: Arcade system. (12/23/2016 11:59:33)

Yes, stackable items have been suggested before. But, unlike your ideas here, inventory rework seems more reasonable. Asking for more credits and higher drop chances is pointless, you would definitely have more luck with convincing devs to rework the inventory system.

NDB -> RE: Problems of the current arcade system and possible improvements of it (12/30/2016 20:59:23)

Almost every game I have played with random reward systems have some way of recycling rewards. I think an excellent way of fixing the current arcade system is by implementing a system where unwanted rewards can be traded back in for a type of currency instead of credits, say a ticket or something, that can be traded in for arcade prizes. For instance, bronze rewards could be sold for 1 ticket, silvers for 10, and golds for 25. Then, in an arcade "shop" you could buy gold weapons for 100 tickets, silvers for 40, and bronzes for 10. With this system, you could trade 4 unwanted gold prizes or 10 unwanted silver prizes or 100 unwanted bronze prizes for one gold that you want. This way people who spend excessive amounts of arcade tokens while getting prizes they don't want can, at some point, be compensated.
