On February 24 2017 Artix Entertainment gave us two important pieces of information.

The first important piece of information is that they are going to attend Game Developers Conference 2017 and they will take some community admins over there, they plan on giving stacks of codes to those who are well known on social media that they meet in real life. This blade is going to be sought out by many rarity hunters

The second important piece of information is that Artix Krieger stated in the GDC 2017 design notes and in game recently in AQ3D that Ashfall is going to be released on monday no matter what ever happens.

I am most interested in the possible "new item type" mentioned in the design notes post. Nobody seems to be commenting on it.
This isn't a new item, but a new item "type". That's big news right???
I know it won't be something HUGE like pets, but at the very least it will be something that provides a new layer of cosmetics and stats.
Anybody have a guess? I don't have a lot of MMORPG experience to draw from.

Also, I will be very disappointed if they have to scrap new features in order to release on Monday.
I understand the rationale and I'm sure those features would be added eventually.
I just don't like the idea of the release not living up to the full potential of it's creators.

I too am very interested in this new item type. It could be anything from the "cosplay feature" to pets. It'll get added eventually, though, so no need to worry. The devs wouldn't just scrap an idea since it wasn't ready by a certain date.
