Whenever I try browsing and looking for a weapon, armor, gun, or auxilery, I always find myself troubled by the stats of the item. They're all the same with no difference in any stat.
The strange thing about weapons is that the stats start to differentiate as you level up.
What I suggest is that you can change the level of the item to see what stats it can offer and play with the stat modifier without buying it. Credits and Varium are important resources and shouldn't be spent recklessly especially at lower levels.
I'm sure being able to see what a weapon can offer when it is at max level will indicate to a player how good it is. Basically allow for some comparison between equipment as so far it seems like they're only for looks and confuses and deters many beginners.
