I'm starting to like the Frost Icicles that drains 50 energy for 3 rounds. But i heard in the long run Generator will be the most efficient core ability for you.

What do you guys recommend that is good for a lvl 20 like me and will still help me immensely in the future?

Generator's health and energy points are dependent on your armor's defense and resistance distribution, item stat progression starts out slow and increases more at late levels. Piston Punch is similar to it in formula, but instead heals energy and drains opponent's energy, which can be useful to prevent usage of skills.
The seasonal Hazmat suit comes with the Tranquility core which heals up to 500 health with a full rage bar, its more than what a Lv 40 Generator receives 50 Health + 50 Energy and 240 to distribute between.

Tranquility sure is powerful. And i didn’t knew there were hidden cores available other than the Vendbot (Already bought generator but oh well its still helpful due to the hp regen)

Btw does generator cure poison?

Field Medic is the only skill the cures Poison, Assault Bot's Cleanse core can reduce Poison by 70%.

Just get generator and frost shards. With missions, credits are extremely easy to come by.
Tranquility is the best until you start getting into the 30s and sometimes its better to have gen against support mercenaries, but tranquility is nice at low levels. Generator is nice if you can't get tranquility, I prefer generator over piston punch especially against Strength builds generator is the better option.

Generator points are 50+2*the armor def/res.

So with 100 def and 20 res the HP is 50 + 2*100 == 250
and the EP is 50+2*20 == 90

Gen doesn't heal poison.
Field medic heals poison, assault but helps with poison, but assault bot is garbage so don't buy that.

Also a good passive core is critical heal which can be found at the solar world factory which is at elon musk in wasteland. I'd go gen first and frost - since somehow you managed to be level 20 without getting cores...
