So to summarize:

Blast radius has a radius of 20 feet

Effects are instantaneous once it hits the ground as the arena is already damp

Few second delay for soapysoup to actually hit the ground as it's fired from a 45 degree arc

This particular sprinkler soup won't be conductive to electricity, but yes when he's doing's a normal stream blast it probably would (collab needed obviously).

I have put together a quick positioning guide. It is available for use for a VERY ROUGH understanding of where everybody is currently in the arena.

It's been set to be editable by anyone with the link, so feel free to move yourself about if you feel that you're in the wrong spot - the current positions are based on my best understanding of where people are from the posts made in the arena.

If you want a different color, feel free to change it - just remember everyone needs their own unique one for the purposes of identifying.

Just wanted to make sure before I post @brotherinlaw, given that the way the wind blows effects the maintainable size of the spirits along with their relative minion mobiness, a big 'ol concussive blast would disrupt and dissipate them, since it'd disperse all the smoke at once, correct?

The spirits themselves have taken 'solid' form, and thus will not be dissipated. The smoke they leave behind, however, would be dissipated, as would the smoke that gathers around me as the incense burns. Depending on the power of the blast, I will have to find out how much smoke I lose or if any can be gathered back to me.

Okie day, so considering, if they're solid, what's the result of the damage it deals to them, along with the knockback effect? Following that, if their target is hidden from sight by magical means what would they do? If they're made from the smoke, how does the smoke loss effect them too since they're "born" from it?

Brotherinlaw- I see no reference of a "solid" form of the spirits in your bio, so I'm assuming you mean this to mean simply that they are able to interact with their environments. (This is being a bit charitable as you state that they are relatively intangible in the ability itself).

I'm not sure how being "solid" would protect them from a concussive blast - if the smoke itself is too anchored to its form to "disperse", then they should be solid enough to be knocked backward/blasted away as any other opponent near Sanctus would be at the conclusion of his "Four Towers" ability (which I'm assuming is the intent as he's currently in Rook form and is the only ability with a concussive blast). The question then remains on how this would effect the spirits long term - personally, I'd believe that this would use up 1-2 of their "attempts" before they return to smoke, but that can be something that can be discussed afterwards as it's not needed for Sanctus's next post.

Hmm, indeed. A better word would have been tangible. an excellent idea, one use of their attempts, as the concussive force would 'distract' the constructs. Also, thanks for calling out the ability. Since the concussive blast seems to have a hard radius of five-feet, it would actually concentrate the smoke at the edge of the ring. Another interesting aspect of physics means that, upon being hit, the spirit will fly the whole five feet, but the far heavier mace will go back just a few inches before it hits the ground.

To answer your questions, I had not considered invisibility. I suppose it would equate to a critical error in a primitive computer, and they would dissipate immediately. As to the other, the smoke that composes their body is their own. The smoke I gather after that is merely to summon more as these fall, while the smoke they leave after they dissipate can be gathered by the winds for reuse.

Whoops, sorry kelehendros. Diagonal, and you are correct, no thigh protection, though remember that, while running, you would probably see his hand going back and forth over his right leg. Just throwing that out there.

Also, I realize the glaring error in making a giant smarten deity without a shield. Kratos would be so disapoint...

@brotherinlaw - First, please be more mindful of your timer. You were able to post today by sheer grace of the fact that I was not at my computer to officially declare you Idled Out.

Second, meta-gaming. Fangshi, as a character, entered these arenas knowing NOTHING about the other competitors beyond what he can learn at a glance (unless you collaborated with another author to determine otherwise). You do not know details about your opponents that have not been made obvious by either their words or their actions. Namely, nield has stated that his character comes from a very isolated and remote nation that, unless you had worked with him prior to determine a connection, Fangshi would have little to no knowledge of. This is particularly troubling in that you are assigning beliefs to Ineria ("her people were particularly bigoted against those who would the darker arts"), that Ineria has given no external or verbal conformations of. This has led to you misinterpreting some of Ineria's actions - while she merely glanced at the monk to confirm the source of the spirits, you have taken her internal monologue and warped that into her giving Fangshi "the evil eye".

As this hasn't impacted the flow of battle, this is just a warning, but please be more careful in the future. Base Fangshi's thoughts and actions on what has been OPENLY expressed by the competition, unless you've discussed otherwise with them, and not on their thoughts and backstories contained within their bios.

@Sanctus also had a similar slip-up in his introduction post in referring to Ineria as an Illustrian - he and nield determined in PM's that it was alright for a character as old as Sanctus to recognize the symbol, but that any generalizations about her people as a whole should be run by nield first. If you wish to do something similar, feel free to reach out to your competition either here or in PM's.

@nield - in the future, please call my attention to these issues when they first occurs, so that we can catch them before they grow in magnitude.

Howdy doody everybody, thanks to @nield's a-grade back knowledge, I found out that small of the back does not mean at allllll the area of the back I thought it was, the ability Caesar's Lesson is meant to refer to the area between the shoulder blades, like most back tattoo's. @Starflame has been kind enough to let Lesson refer to the latter (blows between the shoulder blades are ineffective and grant Order), instead of me being invulnerable to off-kilter butt shots thank goodness. Unfortunately of course, this means I have much to fear from cheek-seeker projectiles now.

I'm afraid I must request a 12 hr extension for my post, there's something that has to be cleared up between me and Kooroo with your say Star, and given the time differences between all 3 of us, I wouldn't want to be at risk with the time limit.
