Strength:

Most of us would probably agree that strength is pretty stupid right now, and it can be yea, so hopefully we’ll get some nerfs to that.
TM malf/BH smoke

However, let’s look at Kartherax’s Darkspawn… that robot basically annihilates str and makes it not a viable match. Str needed a nerf but, not a blowout. This robot just murdered str, which I think shouldn’t have happened. Just wait until Kartherax comes out, watch all the focus builds come back. That’s how str is going to be curved. IMO Katherax needs a nerfed special or something else because it’s pretty gamebreaking imo.

Class Specific Weapons:
This has been spoken about for a while now, these need a buff. The skills with these weapons need to be better.
Plasma bolt, Supercharge, Overload
Atom Smasher, Double Strike, Berzerker
Poison, Cheap Shot, Massacre (for str because it’s only good with supp/str)

Or atleast make the stat points the same as swords and keep the damage -10.
Swords are WAY too overused. I’m sure many people agree.

Nightwraith -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/7/2018 17:32:29)

I can nerf strength further. I also agree that Class Specific weapons are underutilized and I'll see how difficult it would be to adjust their stats.

I wonder if reducing the duration of the Curse of Kartherax would be too severe. I could do something like leave the duration at 3 and slash the initial hit damage substantially. I'm also fine with leaving it as-is if another bot or core could serve as a hard-counter (Cleanse).

NDB -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/7/2018 18:39:30)

Yeah, I think that slashing the initial damage on the Kartherax special would be the best way to go about it.

As for class specific weapons: I feel like it's just too hard to buff the skills that already require the weapons enough to make people want to use them without ending up making them too powerful. Similarly, buffing the weapon stats a little bit might not do anything since swords will still be better while buffing the stats too much would make it so swords are useless. I feel like the only real way to make people use class specific weapons is to make a lot more skills require them, except for the very important ones--skills like Smoke Screen, Malfunction, Intimidate, and Bludgeon, all of which use the Primary weapon in their animations, would cover a very wide range of builds that typically use Swords. The more skills there are that require the class specific weapons, the harder it will be to make an extremely good build without them, whereas right now it is far too easy.

.Lord Ginger. -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/7/2018 18:52:21)

I also think swords still need to be a part of this game and still be able to create solid builds with them.

They'll be like the typical focus builds or something, like for a BM, TLM, CH, BH, Merc, (Maybe a TM?)

While things like class specific weapons can make a different build (like the massacre with a BH or CH/Str merc/Caster TM)

With nerfing strength builds, they still need to be viable and need to be able to beat focus builds, just need to be outplayable without that being due to blocks and stuff.

Some builds are fine right now (Apparently BM Strength is a bit much with fireball being buffed, so I've heard from a few BM users)
TM malf and BH smoke are too powerful with Strength Builds as well.

I'm not really sure what to do for strength that isn't high strength because it seems that focus can always loop itself back in and win the battle fairly easily against medium strength builds (like 67+35 strength or something, especially with Kartherax)

I know that Strength bounty hunter has no use for massacre, only the support bounty hunter build which isn't up to par right now, even with the HP buff because the energy for Mark of Blood and Smoke combination are better than the masscare.

Strength is just too weird with the builds because it's moreso a "if str doesn't get blocked it wins" kind of thing with minimal dexterity/technology and over 110 strength.

Would like to see some more ideas to help curve in strength without killing it (to where the only str build was TM).

I would kind of like to see agility come back in, although it was a band-aid fix, it can help balance out the high str/low dex builds that don't do many unblockable attacks and also keep strength inline without having to nerf strength too much.

Satafou -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/9/2018 4:22:21)

In all honesty it's not the str stat itself that is the issue. It's the fact the high hp, high str build without any investment in dex is somehow viable, not even due to complimentary unblockable skills but due to the fact they seem to not get blocked often despite their severe lack of dex.

Something either needs to be done about hp abuse over a certain threshold 1300ish imo, or the likes of how blocks work is changed so that it's not down to chance but due to actual stat investment. I'm not sure if it's possible to be implemented but I once suggested that luck factors are determined by base stat investment, in essence 50 base dex = 1 block per game and the player can choose what turn that block is used (it would work as a active core, that you highlight on your turn, (but you can still attack, heal, shield, regen etc during that same turn).

.Lord Ginger. -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/9/2018 8:30:37)

I agree that it’s the fact that there are no blocks. Because people aren’t balancing dex like they should. That’s why I think we need more stat requirements to balance builds out as well.

Str right now is a problem because of lack of blocks (and how strong malf is)

And the choosing turn to block doesn’t work because what if they use an unblockabke at that turn, and everyone would do that on rage

Satafou -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/9/2018 14:48:52)

Yes but that's the point, it wouldn't necessarily a free block. It would be about outwitting your opponent, or just waiting until they have no option but to use a blockable.

.Lord Ginger. -> RE: Things to be addressed (8/9/2018 14:51:16)

I just think str needs stat requirements so people can’t spam it as bad as they do because str isn’t OP or that good imo at 50+35 str
