Did OverSoul have an X-mas "update"(aka bring back the seasonal characters) 1-2 years ago?I didn't play this game back then. Hope it's not that type of "update".

No it did not have any such update. Unfortunately we do not have any specific information regarding the upcoming update. It has been hinted that a new character or two might be released.
