Gifting heats up this week with 2 big new features: A daily gifter leaderboard and gifting streaks!
Gift multiple times in a row to build up a streak to earn achievements and a chance to gift everyone on the server!
The daily board also comes with its own set of achievements, with the winner each day receiving a Secret Package!
Daily Gifting Leaderboard
Daily winners will receive an evolving achievement and a “Secret Package”
The top 15 on the current all-time board will receive the first level of the achievement and the “Secret Package”
This gift will be updated after gifting in completed (like the Secret Package that became Elite Yeti Armor)
Toggle the gifter leaderboards between 2018 and Daily using the radio buttons
Gifting Streaks
Gift several times in a row to build up a streak!
Unlock new tier and earn new achievements at 15,30,45,70,100,150, and 200 gifts (evolving achievement)
Each streak tier offers an increased chance to gift the whole server, from 2% all the way up to 20% (even players in battle can get these)
Notifications pop up to let other players know a gifter is on a streak or if a global gift is issued
A new gifting animation plays once a streak is active
If 90 seconds pass between gifts, the streak is lost
Quality of Life
When the player count is above 60 in a room, the game forces low performance mode
For easier gifting use the command /buygift325varium in the chat window. Note: This command will not issue a confirmation screen!
Quality of Life
New rooms have been added to Titan's Peak to pay homage to the past gifting leaders from 2014-2017! A new room will be added for 2018's winners, whoever they are! To find these shrines, hop to the Legendary shops in Frysteland and walk to the left or the right to explore! It's a fun journey to reminisce to EpicDuel's gifting past and see some of the heavy hitters. It's been incredible to watch gifting go from being a cute add-on feature to spread holiday cheer to the major event it's become. That shouldn't really be a surprise considering EpicDuel players are the most competitive in all of AE!
