Make all cores (especially promotional cores) useful

Here are just some examples of mediocre cores and what buffs could be added:

A few cores have high energy costs which prevents them from being used, honestly

First off I think spreadfird should be removable because that skill is useless in any pvp setting unless you can have the option to use spreadfird in the battle when you have the passive equipped.

Hatchling Rush - Costs less energy, about 100
Icy Overkill - 50% defense ignore, 100 energy cost
Deep Plague - Heal doesn’t remove deep plague
Phase Shift- Changes primary damage until again costing 0 energy with 2 turn cool down
Lionhart shield - make untargetable by offense for 1 turn, but not defense
Feast of Flesh- 50 HP cost - (tell us what the increase crit rate and rage gain are)
Pacify- 0 energy, 100% gun damage
Stun shot - 10%
Energy shot - 30%
Blood shot - 40% hp back (guns weak in general)
Salvage - 100% damage
Poison barbs - 100% damage/70 damage poison (something, this aux is garbage)
Energy Storm - 30%

Yeah. That would be a great start. I think a bunch of those could even be buffed quite some more, like some of gun cores since there's some pretty brutal competition in that category, for me to actually envision someone seriously using it. Also, armor cores. Although they're sort of different, robot cores should be taken a look at again at some point too or make robots have different base damages to help the ones with less useful cores.

I don't know exactly what the ED team envisioned for cores when they invented them, but to me they need to play a more central role in the build making process like the way actual skills are. I like how that's the case with robot cores, where you wouldn't ever choose a random robot to use for your build. And a lot of times people make builds that even revolve around a particular robot, or at least depend on it for the build to be any successful. Right now the only example of a build that revolves around an equipment core is Spirit Meld. With equipment cores, for the most part it just seems like people choose among one or two of what's clearly the best regardless of what build they intend on making since there's such a disparity in their power, and many of them like the Boosters/Generator basically just act as one-time hacks instead of being a meaningful part of a specific build.

Supported! Although, I think Hatchling Rush is okay as is, in 2v2 it is actually the best primary core, even better than lifeline.

I support this idea as well, IF cores start costing less to buy or you keep them when you put a new one in. Otherwise, if cores become central to builds, the cost of changing builds goes from a simple 250 + 100 per item stats changed to that + 10,000 per core needed to change.

.Lord Ginger. -> RE: Core Buffs (5/10/2019 16:15:17)

I’ll still stick with the energy reduction for hatchling and many other cores because my main focus is core utility and if they’re viable in more game modes in general then it is fine.

It's already annoying enough now. Players have been begging for a way to have cores be unequippable (not replaced) since the day Omega started. It's a popular demand. Hopefully they'll keep that in mind the next time they get Titan...

Oh Titan still works on ED sometimes? How often, like once every few months?

NDB -> RE: Core Buffs (5/10/2019 17:31:28)

I think it's whenever Artix decides, so it's not really a fixed schedule at all. Last time Titan came around was during gifting in December. Before that they got him to implement buy-back shop in August.

Making Core cost-less will be a stupid idea tbh. Icy Overkill make 50% ignoring defense then there is no battle that last long.

Feast of Flesh: Making it 50 is bit lesser 90 would work fine.
Stun Shot: Yeah 10% would work
Energy Shot: Agreed
Poison Barbs: Disagreed 100% damage make its Aux OP simply
