Looks like we're keeping a good pace, everyone! Take a break, get some food/water, then come back and punch more elementals in the face with your pancake breakfast!

BATTLE ON!

Stephen Nix -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:14:48)

NO TIME FOR PANCAKES!!!!!!

Must fight....on!

Starflame13 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:17:02)

The 1389 was my typo that I didn't catch, whoops!

throws Nix a fish instead.

Mine!

Uses the fish as a weapon against more waves

Alpha Centipede -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:20:47)

@Starflame: No worries, we all have those moments. [:)]

Maybe I'll try get 100 more waves in before retiring for the night. It's Penguin Hour after all.

DioHasZero -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:25:21)

Good morning! Nothing like sleeping sideways in an armchair to rejuvenate your will to war on!!
We're doing great!!

I think it's really fair that catapults was the last milestone we unlocked, considering how much it increases our speed; if it was the 25% milestone reward we might not have given the devs enough time to make that super sweet cutscene or the boss fight I'm still super hyped for. [:D]

Stephen Nix -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:29:00)

I have to leave for a bit and wont be back till likely after the hour. In advance this will likely be my last Penguin Hour of the war due to the speed, so thank you all for the...minions!

MUAHHAAHAHAHAA*coughs and loses his hat and monocle for a second*

*Nabs the hat when he's not looking, uses it to terrorize more enemies into submission*

Alpha Centipede -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:48:45)

Aaand that's 100 more waves down for me. I gotta crash soon, so hopefully we get to 100% (or close to it) when I wake up in the morning.

Battle on, you wonderful people!

gakorogirl -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:50:00)

We've been given a Monday deadline (unclear if it's in the morning or at the end of the day...)- let's see if we can't step it up a tad and smash that deadline!

Alpha Centipede -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 11:52:41)

Looking at the speed we're going so far, I'd say there's a good chance we can finish the war within the weekend.

MarchingToApril -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:01:00)

Top of the Hour Wave Count Update!

We have defeated 5,649,549 since the war began, 29,869 waves since the last update 60 minutes ago.
Our average speed over the last hour is 498 wpm, which is 149 wpm slower than the last update
At this speed, it will take us 1 day, 4 hours, 28 minutes to defeat the remaining 850,451 waves.

Next Milestone: 90 % . In order to reach this, we need to defeat 200,451 more waves. At our current speed, this will take 7 hours and 43 minutes.
Next Percent: 87 %. At our current speed, reaching this percent will take us 10 minutes.

Our fastest speed for this war is 1,380 wpm and our fastest speed for all recorded wars is 6,786 WPM, from the 2017 Black Winter War.

Starflame13 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:02:48)

Well, time to pick up the pace!!

Since we've been given a deadline of "Monday", I have arbitrarily picked Noon server time until we get more details, which means....

Semi-Official Deadline:
We need to finish the war by Noon (11:59am) Server Time on Monday the 3rd, requiring a speed of 295 WPM. (Time picked arbitrarily by me as of now).

Requilac -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:17:48)

Just for the record, In case the war ends exactly before Monday begins, at 11:59pm on Sunday, then we shall need an average WPM of about 395. That should be a simple enough goal given our history of relatively high WPM in this war and all others.

Also, StephenNix and Starflame, just to get this straight... are the two of you using your server moderator archknight powers to respond to each other by editing each other's posts? The purple texts below StephenNix's post at 11:29 and Starflame's post at 11:17 seem to hint that this is the case. If not, then I have no idea what the Elemental Wastes of Fire of is going on here.

Starflame13 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:19:52)

*gasps dramatically* How dare you accuse us of using our powers for such frivolous means!

*throws Requilac back into the war waves*

(Keep up the good speed, everyone! :P )

Alpha Centipede -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:20:37)

@Requilac: They are indeed using their powers to do so. Pretty normal, nothing out of the ordinary. Just Archknights doing Archknight things. Also yeah, I'm more partial to 23:59 Sunday as the deadline myself, cause that covers the worst case scenario. But we'll see what the next HWC rolls with first yeah.

@Surib: Wonderful. A DF dating sim. It better have Yashta in it as an option (no homo).

Rafiq von den Vielen -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:39:51)

DF dating sim?

crosses appendages for Caitiff

Ruby23182318 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 12:59:17)

This was mentioned before in Surib's post, but since the image has been removed, it's hard to tell what was meant.
Simply put, Dove's put out a little challenge for us stating that he'd make a dating sim provided we defeat the war in... about 2 hours from now [3:05pm server time].
We're asking for maximum participation during these hours (get your friends!), for the reason stated above.
Using the ever so helpful bot, we've calculated that we need a speed of 6431 WPM.

Cedrei's shoved together the relevant Discord posts, so have the image again: https://i.imgur.com/10WTXn7.png.

Top of the Hour Wave Count Update!

We have defeated 5,696,288 since the war began, 46,739 waves since the last update 60 minutes ago.
Our average speed over the last hour is 779 wpm, which is 281 wpm faster than the last update
At this speed, it will take us days, 17 hours, 12 minutes to defeat the remaining 803,712 waves.

Next Milestone: 90 % . In order to reach this, we need to defeat 153,712 more waves. At our current speed, this will take 3 hours and 17 minutes.
Next Percent: 88 %. At our current speed, reaching this percent will take us 0 30 minutes.

Deadline: In order to reach 100% by noon server time, Monday the 3rd, we need a speed of 285 wpm.

Our fastest speed for this war is 1,380 wpm and our fastest speed for all recorded wars is 6,786 WPM, from the 2017 Black Winter War.

Cedrei -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 13:17:56)

Imo, it's best to assume that it is midnight since that's when it turns into Monday. It's at least the safest bet, anyway. That said, it's highly unlikely that we'll even get close to failing this war, in fact I find it unlikely that even the unofficial deadline I put for the discord HWCs when the war started (Midday server time on Sunday) will be missed, so [;)]

Also, since the dating sim challenge weren't added to the forum HWCs, I'll just mention that the last HWC gave us a required 6431 WPM... But don't lose hope yet! =P

MarchingToApril -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 14:02:28)

At this speed, it will take us 11 hours, 58 minutes to defeat the remaining 741,713 waves.

Next Milestone: 90 % . In order to reach this, we need to defeat 91,713 more waves. At our current speed, this will take 1 hour and 29 minutes.

Off the top of my head, this is nowhere near enough for the dating sim.

C'mon, fight for love!
EDIT: Fixed!

Cedrei -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 14:06:23)

Yep. Even if we got ten times that speed from now on, it wouldn't be enough. We'd get really close if we did that, though.

Starflame13 -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 14:07:09)

Zooooooom, good speed everyone! Let's go faster!

Looks like there was a slight typo in the deadline, btw, April! I have a speed of 363 WPM in order to finish by by Midnight (11:59am) Server Time before Monday the 3rd!

Certainly if they did add a romance mechanic to the game that certainly would be an interesting spectacle. I'm actually curious to see how this would turn out, hah.

MarchingToApril -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 14:44:02)

Managed to finish my thousand waves. I think I'm gonna head to bed, someone take the HWCs.

G'luck!

Da Awesomancer -> RE: =DF= May 24th Design Notes: Song of the Ateala (6/1/2019 15:52:59)

Looks like we've hit the 90% mark. Time for the final stretch, the last race to the finish. Also, even my potato computer can run the catapult, so I'm finally able to help!
