99th Dracopyre -> Werepyre update transition? (7/13/2019 14:00:56)

I'm currently a warrior with a werewolf subrace. Heard Werepyres got an update (sadly none for Dracopyres yet... stares at username...)

How far would I go to transition into building purely for Werepyre armors (I currently use all the werewolf armors for everything) and stat-checks on abilities?

Thanks!

The werepyre gimmick is using Str+Int in place of Dex. This means that a pure werepyre build uses 250 Str/Dex and the rest in a secondary stat, probably Luck.

How does Werepyre compare to werewolf? I'm thinking of un-training my DEX into INT for it.

EDIT: I'm out of the loop for a long time. Will I have to completely change my weapons if I got from STR/DEX to STR/INT?

A werepyre would build 250 Str/Int and 0 Dex.

well the biggest problem with werepyre is that you're pretty weak outside of wererpye armor
there are some fights you can't do in werepry armors,
your nukes aren't as strong .
and no u don't have to change your weapons, the armor toggle will be enough

You should be able to do most of your fights in Werepyre armor. With default transformation + the 3 in the shop, you have 40% resist for each element. This is arguably the strongest non element-locked armor "attack".

The main issue is that if you attempt to use spells/armor nukes that are capable of ending fights far faster, you will find your accuracy to be lacking significantly.

Both are equally as good, choose the one you prefer~

Werepyre is tailored towards Hybrids while Werewolf is tailored towards Warriors though, so... Depends on your build~

No, you won't need to change anything. With Werepyre armors you can use either melee or magic weapons just fine. The only thing you need to be aware of, is that you won't be able to use Ranged Weapons if you have 0 DEX.

Primate Murder -> RE: Werepyre update transition? (7/13/2019 23:23:42)

If using werepyre armors, any magic/melee weapon works fine. If working outside of them, using the werepyre blades might be preferrable.

As for how they compare...

- Werewolf has the terror-Snarl nuke (if you're willing to spend some tokens) and is the only subrace with a Beast Form that costs only sp.

- Werepyre has stun immunity, a better heal (due to using Str/Int instead of End) and the strongest Beast Form among all three subraces.

If you're willing to specialize, I'd certainly suggest werepyre over werewolf.

I see. Thank you very much!

Last question for the stats. Should I go STR/INT/END or STR/INT/LCK?

Primate Murder -> RE: Werepyre update transition? (7/14/2019 1:50:11)

Most offensive builds prefer Luck - unless you're facing some really op bosses like DUM, fights generally don't last long enough for End to make a difference.

I would recommend getting all the armors BEFORE you make the transition though, otherwise you'll get stuck in a weird place
with low dex and having to fight outside of werepyr form
