J9408 -> Neko Lucky Warrior Beastmaster and SP Consumption (9/9/2019 16:51:15)

Here is my main who is a Lucky Beastmaster Mage

He is a Neko Beastmaster who primary source of damage comes from Pets & Guest.

I plan on creating a second character who is the same but uses STR instead of INT.
My primary concern here is SP consumption. I don't have much problem with accuracy since I have Helm of Frostval.

Mages have access to both MP and SP, so they can use both Summon and Call versions for Guest. Therefore they can have their Guest use MP for consumption and use SP for Misc.
Warriors can do no such thing. They must share SP with Guest and Misc.

I am well aware that Neko's can use 40 charges to regenerate at least 395 SP but I wonder if that is even enough. I plan on using Sol Claw and some SP ver spells for challenge fights.

For my Mage, my primary strategies in battle involve using a Misc to lower damage and have Pets & Guest damage the enemy.

The question is How well would a Warrior manage in terms of SP consumption?

Its not true that BeastWarriors cannot use Summon Guests, with Fairy Godmother set to heal MP, a Warrior can sustain a MP guest per turn.

A Beast build should not be using the Cha skills from Neko class, since they share the same 25% increase in skill cost of a Mage.
Beast builds are supposed to be like Mages in shifting 25% melee from their weapons combined with a 1/4 of a standard skill into a Guest, by using Cha skills over Guests, they forfeit the amount transferred from the weapon.

There is only one Summon that is worth keeping instead of a Call, which is Summon Aquella from Season of Shipping that will return next year.

If a Beastwarrior is to use simultaneously a resistance misc and Guest, it wouldn't be much of a problem to outlast a boss for an instance given a full Sp bar at the start of the battle and that the resistance misc doesn't have too much effects to increase it upkeep.

Beastwarriors have the choice of using an Elecomp skill given they have Str or a Guest, if the character has Shadowfeeder pendant for Celerity, Elecomp skills are preferred.

Thanks for the response.

It is true beastmasters can sustain guest keep with FG, but would if the player wish to use another pet? For role playing purposes.

My main defeats his enemies by outlasting them.
My goal here is to create a Warrior Neko character whose damage output would be similar to my main as I linked above.

I should focus on brute force(Sp attacks) and use defensive misc right? This way, SP consumption would not be too high.

Primate Murder -> RE: Neko Lucky Warrior Beastmaster and SP Consumption (9/11/2019 23:02:27)

As a general rule, warrior builds are better at resource management, but have a lower overall damage output. Have you considered making this new character a ranger? 100-proc weapons deal +20% damage in FD armors, compared to melee ones.

If you want to see big numbers, my suggestion is to use effect pets/guests. Rose pet + Grakma's EleVuln + Samukematsuri Mask (and Bow) + neko Burn toggle can stack up pretty big levels of burn. Fu Dog + Sugar Gobbler have a fair chance of petrifying the monster to increase the damage of your Claw attack.

I plan on making a Ranger character later. I'm just focusing on this one for now.
