badguts -> Stat allocation for Dragon (10/1/2019 2:02:47)

Currently, i'm playing a Tank Beastmaster (200 CHA build) and i'm trying to decide what the best stat distribution would be for my Dragon. I plan on using him as a guest most of the time as opposed to pet.

As most of my damage will be coming from guests/pet, I was thinking that it may be a good idea to go mostly damage. I'm thinking something along the lines of 200 fighting, 200 magic, 100 mischief, 100 protection. That would let him still dish out a lot of damage while having some utility.

Not sure if there is a more optimal distribution or not; please let me know

Personally, I go for 200 Fighting, 200 Magic and 200 Mischief most of the time as a beastmaster player. I would suggest using it as a pet rather than wasting a guest slot. The build might not be the best to some people but I was still able to beat most of the Inn challenges except for a few such as Weird Duo without deaths of my guests. Protection feels rather bad when you have guests as you only protect your hero while leaving the others open while 200 Mischief helps more with the additional blind(-60 to hit).

That is just my opinion, though. You might prefer your own build.

In any case, I hope you reconsider and use your dragon as a pet instead. It is much better. Also, it is nice to see another beastmaster, sir.

:]

Thanks, i'll keep that in mind. The reason i'm leaning toward it as a guest is because I would have control over what abilities it uses and when so the A.I. can't screw me over. I've also seen some people saying that it does more damage as a guest because it can go up to Young Dragon; but i don't know if that's true or not

if you enter the options tab in the game(mid bottom) you can turn on "manual pet actions" that lets you choose how your pet acts.
almost all pets only have an attack and skip turn buttons but the dragon pet has all of his unlocked skills there for you to choose just like a guest.

Edit- found thisd quote from the DN's june 21st, 2019

With this release, if you have Manual Pet Turns checked in your options, you will be able to manually command your pet dragon in battle, selecting which skills to use, and when. No more randomness!
