#2 -> Timerift Challenges Help? (10/10/2019 3:18:33)

So yeah I just got back into playing df recently and I want to get the rewards from these challenges but I go to fight Vaal or Xan and I get erased, are these specific challenges not meant to be beaten? If so, am I doing something completely wrong?

all inn challenges can be beaten, though like the name implies it is a challenge and should not be an easy fight.

as for the fights in question please reffer to page 8 and page 9 of the battle strategy thread for relevant builds and tactics.

If you are at a very low level, I would recommend you to level up to at least 80. Also, feed your dragon daily as it is the strongest pet in the game. The standard strategy against Egomaniacs is to stack fire resistance.

May I know what is your level and how many points have you trained in your dragon?

:]

I am currently level 82 and um... I kinda let my dragon starve, he is very low ranked

I see, I was going to suggest another alternative strategy (it is in no way better than the fire resist stacking) but it requires at least 200 points. Your best bet for that challenge is to stack fire resist equipments. If you have not grown your dragon, you should do it. It unlocks a skill for your dragon. You can click options and then enable 'Manual pet actions' to be able to control its turn(if you already know, I apologise).

There's a list of best resists for each element here for quick reference.

Pretty good timing for asking this, as three of the best element resist pieces ( The Baron's Fearless Helm, BraveSirRobin's Fearless Helm, and Stretchy Candy Cape) come from Mogloween quests and shops.
