Can someone tell me if it's worth switching out FVIK for the new Frostgale weapon?

And would the +20 from the pet work on top of FVIK's -20 to Freeze? I know that Nilak's ability doesn't work with FVIK.

status saves were updated some time ago, there isn't a cap to the "extra" modifiers anymore.

In terms of freeze FVIK has a better chance than the Frostgale weapon since the save is better and will attempt more often. (This is assuming you aren't using the full Frostgale set since most of the time that FSB will be impractical)

Functionally for freeze the Effigy and Nilak are the exact same, however recent-ish changes to rolls means that they will boost FVIK's freeze attempt.

Oh, I didn't realize there was a change to the stat cap of 'extra modifiers'

Guess the pet having its own Freeze attack would be more beneficial.
