RaelXIV -> Main Story and Spider enemies (11/22/2019 20:24:36)

Hello, what i'm trying to ask may seem like a silly question but it's kinda relevant to me.

I'm trying to get back to the main story and just started the "My Spot" quest, and found the Tarantula line of enemies and this is where i get to the point.

I have a crippling fear of spiders, to the point that a single image is enough to scare my soul outta me. And it just got worse in the recent years, to the point that i can't stand to look at those enemies anymore (when i could do it relatively fine some years ago) and if these enemies keep appearing in the main storyline i fear my progress will come to a halt.

While other spider enemies don't trigger my arachnofobia, the Tarantulas enemies are, in my opinion, detailed enough to kickstart my fear (congrats to the devs for making those enemies, it's amazing how well made those enemies are to make me freeze like this) and i would like to know: How many Book 3 main story quests (if possible, up to the most recent releases) have those Tarantulas enemies?

Like i said, it may seem like a silly questions, but if it wasn't so crippling for me i wouldn't be asking.

After the three tarantulas you encounter in My Spot, there are actually zero further spider encounters in the main story, so you can rest easy. If you can push through that quest, you'll be right. Good luck!

Dude, that sucks. I hope turning the graphics engine to low quality helps.

If not, I'd suggest putting a sticky note on the screen during battles. It won't help while walking around, but you should be able to block out the thing while it stands in place, and look away after your last team's move ends. The endbattle music is a good guide to whether the fight is continuing.

All is well!
