@RaistlinMajere: I'd say Chaosweaver, but if you don't have that I'd go for any class with a high damage skill or two. But then, this is the first war I've been more "involved" in, so I might not be the best person to ask. @The_Insomniac_Of_Lore: Not sure, but this is crossing with the Friday the 13th event so there's that. Also there was a very happy Frostval event in 2016! If you haven't played through it yet, I'd highly recommend it!

Best for war is any class with a hard hitting fast attack. Any dc class fits the bill, kathool adept especially. DoomKnight if you got it. These guys don't seem to have that much health anyway, so just go with what feels good, the ability to keep going is more important than raw speed. @liger I've played all the frostval chapters, and I was really looking forward to a new one, all the main story parts have been such downers, our hero just can't seem to make any real progress lately and I was hoping for a nice bit of fluff. But hey. Edgy fish elf works, I guess. If sally dies I'm quitting tho. I play for a goofy light hearted rpg, and Sally is a fun character, I did NOT sign on for something this grim.

I don't think we're looking at something that dire here, though! @RaistlinMajere - It depends what you have available! If you have either version of DoomKnight, that works amazing. People have long said Riftwalker (the Warrior Atelan class) is one of the best as well, though some people also use Ascendant (the Mage version, with flashier animatinos). Chaosweaver is a fairly new class people have been using and liking this war. Otherwise, anything with a really solid Final attack with fast animations (Pirate, I think?) is decent! @The_Insomniac_Of_Lore: I can't disagree entirely with that sentiment, though once I saw that it was friday the 13th I kinda saw it coming. Also, I'm almost certain that Sally will survive, especially if we win. And even if we don't she may still survive, because Ramthalas did say it wouldn't matter either way and were technically in a dream right now, so... However, hopefully we'll win and won't have to rely on whether that prediction is true or not!

For the people who were discussing it, I think I know why the Avatars fear the Remthalas. Various sources have stated that the reason the Avatars can't appear on Lore in the AQW and DF timeline as opposed to the AQ timeline, where they can manifest without damaging the planet, is because of a war between the churches of the elements. This war also took place in the AQ timeline, but the Avatars stayed separate, maintaining the balance. In AQW, a lore snippet even states that the Frozen Claymore and it's mirror were crafted by Fiamme from the essence of Kyros as an apology for the damage she did her brother, and vice versa. It's possible the Remthalas either triggered the war between the elements or, at the very least, manipulated the avatars into taking part. For beings that are immortal and see themselves as akin to gods, being manipulated and used like that, turned on their own family, might elicit an emotional trauma similar to being (and I hate using this term so casually), raped. That could explain why they react to their presence with such irrational and destructive fear. It can even be supported by their connection: each of the Maleurous is a misfit, with a reason to elicit chaos. Sinnocence was a being of duality and contradiction, so his very being is of chaos. The Nameless was a toy abandoned, and seemed to only wish to inflict the pain he had been delt. Finally, Ramalthas was a follower of Kathool Atchu, one who has become Nihilistic and perhapse even suicidal. As to the goal of the Maleurous or, at least of Ramalthas, I think I have an Idea. Being Nihilistic and wishing to sleep, he seems haunted do to the fact that his being a dreamweaver and Acolyte of Kathool renders him just as conscious in dreams as when awake, and that being an elf makes him immortal. If he or they were behind the Elemental War, and wanted to die, they may have some connection to the Network. Because if you were immortal and wanted to rest, to meet oblivion, what better way than to instigate the return of The'Galin. Also: spoiler: I think the ??? mark on the war meter is for the 200% mark, based on the fact it seems a little less than 4 times the width of the 26% mark we're currently on. Edit, I also saw people talking about classes. since war waves are short and you get auto-healed, your best bet for speed is something that can kill in as few hits as possible. The best free class is probably Deathknight, and DC is either Entropy or Kathool Adept. Just go crazy, and ignore mana consumption.

Good to see that war meter moving! Concerning potential trickery: the way I see it, the only mind games being at play here may be that there are no mind games, if you understand me. Inaction seems much more of a likely trap. With that said, it looks like there's still a fair amount of that meter to filled. Let's get to it!

I saw some people talking about why the Avatars fear the Maleurous, and someone --I think @timsii-- pointed out how Fiamme outbursted they were "bringers of cha-", and they speculated it meant change. Keeping with the whole AE chronology, I think the "cha-" could more so refer to Chaos than change, since it has always had this subtle undertone throughout the story without being brought up directly (there was that whole thing with Drakath, before it got retconned). spoiler: If Dove, Verlyrus and the DF staff actually pull another shock like in Black Winter, and Remthalas' version of "freeing" Sally is by offing her, everyone will go absolutely CRAZY. The clues are right there, with Remthalas saying he "freed" Mr. Twinkles when he killed them, and the after wave message of "is this the right thing to do?" Honestly, I can't wait for how this ends.
