I was just wondering whether people would consider the Magistreum or Fleshweavers to be more immoral.

Now for the moment I'm leaning towards Fleshweavers being more immoral, since the requirements to become one could be considered outright murder.

But what about you guys?

if something (or someone) is already dead (a spirit) can it really be considered murder? does that make paladins who fight undead mass murderers?

its more like a more permanent exorcism >_>

the more effective ghost busters, no chance of the spirit escaping and terrorizing anyone ever again

I'd actually say Magesterium - it's like comparing serial killers to the Nazis. Both are bad, but there are some pretty big differences in the scale.

That said, we don't actually know that much about the Magesterium or the Fleshweavers yet. The Magisters may have a perfectly reasonable explanation for everything they're doing, and the only Fleshweaver we've seen was Roirr who was a piece of work on his own merits.

I'd say the Magesterium. They're a structured government with ideology, goals, and whatnot, whereas Fleshweaver is more of a state of existence. Sure, devouring an Elemental Spirit you've allied with means you need to kill somebody to get the ability to begin with, but I can imagine a hypothetical situation where an Elemental Spirit offers themselves up to help you gain power of save somebody/something, which dispels a lot of the potential immorality of becoming a Fleshweaver in the first place. On the other hand, the Magesterium are clearly the bad guys from what we've seen, they deliberately deceive, murder, and abuse their own citizens...they're definitely worse.
