I've seen this combination praised as the strongest non-Kindred nuke on Forums and Discord, and I was wondering what makes is so.

The Skill Power Ranking from AQWiki uses the following formula for numbers: 2*2*(1+0.6+0.2-0.25)*1.25*1.5, but (and I admit I may be misunderstanding something) it seems to contradict the infosubs.

The first 2 is basic skill modifier, *1.25 and *1.5 are mods for FO lean and CIT, +0.6 and +0.2 are mods for boosters and bloodboost. I'm not sure what the other numbers represent, since the InfoSubs show the Blade as having *1.5 modifier instead of *2, and if the -0.25 is a magic modifier, it should be paid for by the increased cost of the toggle.

If that's the case, shouldn't the Morningstar Cross be a stronger contender for Bloodzerker synergy?

I had this same question in another thread and funny enough you yourself provided a possible answer:

And anecdotally I have tested it out and briar does seem a bit stronger, in line with the multiplier difference (11.6 vs 10.5).

The big difference between the numbers for briar and morningstar seems to be the /1.1 balance engine penalty which briar seems to lack.

You're right, that is rather amusing.

I guess, I'm just a little confused about the numbers. 1.5*1.25 should still be less then *2, and the /1.1 modifier should be canceled out by *1.1 no special bonus.
