Is there a way to compare the damage from a MC guest to having essence of carnage in terms of damage? Essence of carnage doesn't attack but boosts your damage by 27%.

Essence of Carnage is *.9 damage and *1.5 Upkeep compared to Dunamis/Thernda/Poelala's *.6 boost, it has the equivalent overall *.6 penalty (.9/1.5) when its boost and backlash are added together.
Its more effective in terms of stat by using only Cha while Dun/Ther/Poe uses 75% Mainstat and 25% Cha.

So if I have 250 main stat and charisma then thernda is better?
And how much % melee is a standard guest attack? If it is more than 28% then it would be better than carnage?

Carnage's backlash is worth 27.02% melee and like its 27% boost is affected by armor leans, in Offensive lean the output totals for 1.25*54.02% = 67.525% melee, Dun/Ther/Poe is 1.25*36% = 45% melee.

Carnage is essentially a sped up version of the classic boosters, it cost more to deal more and has the same penalties.

I appreciate the info, but I think there is some miscommunication here. I'm comparing carnage vs a normal attacking guest, not the other boosters. So a guest like Aquella.

Is that 67.5% extra damage more than I would get from a MC guest just attacking.

Boosters be it pet or guest don't increase Lucky strike damage, therefore are actually less than what their boost states.
A standard guest deals 30% melee base + 23.1% melee from 200 Cha, or +28.875% melee from 250 Cha, MCed equates to a total of 55.755% melee for 200 Cha and 61.81875% melee for 250 Cha.

Thanks. So basically
carnage:67.5%
MC guest:61.8%
And other than effects like burn, stun etc damag eis higher with carnage.

And sorry about the misunderstanding.
