I'm currently a level 10 Vampire, but my default vamp transformation armor is very weak especially the darkness resistance is very high at 75% compared to my twilight set (lv 55) which as 65% darkness resis. I thought the vamp transformation would get stronger as your subrace level and is scaled to your powerlevel?

Have you done the final quest after reaching rank 10? That's necessary to use the advanced forms of subrace armors.
