The Final Lock Grows Near

This week in DragonFable, the final lock of the Archive E-189-L war is (at the time of writing) nearly upon us! You've fought your way through waves and puzzled your way past locks in an effort to save Key (who looks like a Lock, very confusing). Make sure you're ready for the final challenge coming soon at 100%!

Will you be able to claim victory over the puzzles, locks, and security measures? Or will you be lost inside the archive forever?

The April Dragon Coin special weapon is here! The Facet of Hyonix is a high base-crit scythe that is also completely color-custom to your base and trim colors!

If you're interested, make sure to pick it up before it leaves at the end of April

Some updates and fixes:

The quest A Dark Letter in the Darkness Orb chain should now properly notify the player to first complete the Tomix Saga before being able to proceed.
Fixed an issue where players are unable to sell any items in quests (not just armors).
Changed Armor Closet description to be more clear on its purpose.

Also, for those curious about how this war will impact the schedule, next week will be the monthly Inn at the Edge of Time challenge, followed by the main story, then Re-imagined. At least, that's the plan!

Finally, the Lucky Day Storybook will be leaving with next week's release, so make sure you play through the stories before it leaves for another year.

Honestly I'm less concerned about how the War will impact the schedule and more about if it's time limited/we missed the time. If we lost on Friday when we had footwaves not counting at first when that is what many do, puzzles locking casual player access to war untill they beat locks ETC, that would be...frustrating to say the least.

But since far as I know devs have not said a concrete time, odds are we will be fine... right?

Dratomos -> RE: =DF= April 3rd Design Notes: The Final Lock Grows Near (4/4/2020 6:40:14)

@megakyle: At the beginning, Dove and Verly did say that this war would last for 2 weeks. But since some of the puzzles weren't that easy for all players and some of the bugs, I think they give up on giving a deadline.

Also this war doesn't feel like something were there would be situation for us losing, except death.

Starflame13 -> RE: =DF= April 3rd Design Notes: The Final Lock Grows Near (4/4/2020 9:41:53)

Dove and Verly would have told us well before now if there was a concrete time limit. We average a week for 3-4 million waves, so they expected a 7 million wave war to take around 2 weeks, so that's what they used to plan releases.

I like putting challenges in my HWCs, but there is no official deadline for this war.

ChronoEye -> RE: =DF= April 3rd Design Notes: The Final Lock Grows Near (4/4/2020 10:01:39)

We are on the final ~100,000 waves left now. Before this war ends, I want to thank you all for funny messages to read during the war, and hope to see you guys in the next one! [:)]
