Ryu Draco -> Shogun & Ansatsu clarification (4/12/2020 21:04:51)

Just wanted to clarify the damage of the different attacks available. You have one option which is only Fire and another which is only Wind. Both get a bonus paid for by the gold cost per attack. The third attack is split, half Wind and half Fire, both get the contract bonus as well as a further bonus from being a mixed attack. That being the case, the third attack is both more expensive than the others and not necessarily stronger depending on the resistance of the target. If that's the case, about what range of resistances is the combo attack stronger? Within 15%? Maybe 20%?

Legendary Ash -> RE: Shogun & Ansatsu clarification (4/12/2020 21:30:23)

Taken from Analysis portion at the bottom of Shogun & Ansatsu
quote:

Option 1: It deals *1.2 damage (as a bonus for the gold). It has +5 BTH, and deals *85/90 damage.
Option 2: It deals *1.2 damage (as a bonus for the gold).
Option 3: All hits do *1.4 damage (as a bonus for the gold).
Hit #1 deals 50% of the total damage. This has -10 BTH and deals *85/75 damage.
Hits #2 - #5 deal 50% of the total damage . Each hit has +10 BTH and deals *85/95 damage.

1. Fire element
2. Wind element
3. Hit 1 is Fire and Hit 2-5 is Wind

Updated Shogun & Ansatsu Contract from Info subs
quote:

Choose between 3 attacks:
"Blast them!": 4 hits, Ranged Fire, +5 BTH lean. Deals +20% damage for the gold cost. This costs (GCost1) gold.
"Slice & Dice!": 2 hits, Melee Wind, +0 BTH lean. Deals +20% damage for the gold cost. This costs (GCost1) gold.
"Full Assault": 5 hits. The first hit is Ranged Fire, -10 BTH lean, 50% of the total damage. The last four hits are Melee Wind, +10 BTH lean, and deal a total of 50% damage (so (50/4)% per hit). Deals +40% damage for the gold cost and *1.155 damage for the elements. This costs (GCost2) gold.

Using Math: The average of Fire and Wind resistances needs to be greater than 120/(140*1.155) = 74.21% of either Fire or Wind resistance
