Shiba -> Shiba's Beastmaster Kennel (4/15/2020 5:32:24)

Welcome to my suggestion thread. You've clicked on this thread because you want to adopt a new kitten or pup; perhaps because you wish to buy some food for your pets and guests; or, you may be interested in our toys? For our loyal beastmaster customers, we have everything:

QUESTS

The Undead Giants' Club!

A teaser quest for the Necromancer class revamp.

Artix sends you on a quest. There have been sightings of roaming Undead Giants. You must investigate.

Scene: The player is grabbed by an Undead Giant.

<A couple battles against undead and paladins; you play as an Undead Giant with your character in its weapon-hand>

Every X number of battles you do a roll to escape the clutches of the Undead Giant. Fail and you continue as the Undead Giant; succeed and you fight the Undead Giant <Boss Battle>.

Player returns to Artix, concluding that the Undead Giants are not under direct control of the Necromancers.

Scene: a group of Necromancers dabbling in a new source of their powers.

<Open Shop>
Reward:

Undead Giant, see armour section below.

<End Quest>

Inspiration: This little quest came into being when I asked myself "What if Undead Giant will no longer be part of the Necromancer Class? Where will he go?" Roaming Lore of course, grabbing Paladins and smashing everything around him!

ARMOURS

Undead Giant

Inaccurate FO Darkness armour with a secondary Earth resist.

Just like during the quest, you are yourself, in the hands of an Undead Giant! Weapons need to be in great shape, and you serve as the weapon; so this armour uses [END] for damage.

Does more damage for an [HPcost] if you are a Paladin. Also gains the [Berserker] status. Necromancers may not need him anymore, but he still packs a lot of hatred towards Paladins.

If your current class is Paladin or you're wearing the Paladin class armour, the Undead Giant will hold a Paladin version of you.
In all other cases, it uses <new art that goes together well with the Undead Giant's look>.

WEAPONS

Wooden Spear

Earth Ranged weapon

MC effect is based on the Bloodhawk P guest, but instead of bonus damage, the charges power up this weapon's Backlash effect:

Click the handle to stick the spear into the ground facing your enemy. You gain the Backlash status for 1 turn dealing earth damage, after which the weapon breaks and cannot be used for the rest of the fight.

Uses VStat & LUK to inflict Backlash.

GUESTS

Call White Shepherd

Calls a White Shepherd to serve by your side. Keeps the herd together.

Has a +5BtH lean, and a high base lean.
Effect: Guest deals -66.67% damage to lead your pet directly towards your foe!
Pet damage is doubled and gains a +5 BtH lean.

SHIELDS

Brontus' Memorial Shield

Fire Shield, focuses on Melee and Ranged blocking.
Compresses a 3-hit CHA SPell (a memory of your friend attacks the foe)

A bulky shield decorated with Brontus’ armour pieces. Different shades of brown, several spikes, the red stripes – they’re all there. The centre of the shield is blank with a faded image of Brontus.

When Brontus is clicked, the image enlarges and looks to come alive, and does a 3-hit melee attack.

Bone Wall

Dark Shield with skill compression.

A very large shield made of skulls, ribs and other bones and fragments.

Click the shield to form a massive Bone Wall between you and your enemy. When the enemy strikes you, the wall bounces them back to their place, hurting them.

This costs SP or MP and your turn, and you gain the Backlash status. This deals darkness damage.

Uses END & LUK to inflict Backlash.

Are you sure that losing over half of damage from you guest to double your pet damage is a good trade off? Typically guest do more damage considering they have a MP or SP drain to power them, so you're really losing more than you might think.

Does the math check out for you?

Also if you want this third post reserved as well, just let me know. I have formatted my thread the same way.
