Just found out bout the show weapon effect, that whatever weapon is showed, it's effect will be the one used by the character. Now, is that a bug or a hidden gem for the people who found out? More importantly does it work with accessories, lets say equip any helm and show Baltael's Aventail?

This is a deliberate mechanic even though it's not actually explained anywhere ingame. This does not work with artifacts like Baltael's Aventail or set effects like Grove Tender or DragonKnight, it only works with weapons.
