Doom, Destiny, Exaltia weapons (Full Version)

First of all: I'm guessing that the next two upgrades for the Doom weapons will be Penultimate and Ultimate. not sure how long it'll take for them to come out.

second: the Exaltia Tower weapons got me thinking about the idea of weapons/other gear that require a ton of farming and merging on the part of the player. the Doom/Destiny weapons are the only others to do so to this extent – at least as far as I know.

I'm wondering if the Exalted Apotheosis is a sort of test run for this concept, and if they plan on doing it later by combining the Doom and Destiny weapons in a similar way – possibly have them end up as Ultimate Doom Shard and Ultimate Destiny Shard respectively (or something similar) before merging them. the sheer number of upgrades necessary to fully upgrade the weapon from start to finish would leave Exalted Apotheosis in the dust. it'd also be pretty interesting from a lore perspective.

what do you all think?

I think it would be interesting to have rare weapons that are slightly stronger than usual, but need a lot of different farmable mats to upgrade. Back when i was playing orginal Adventure Quest i remember it being a lot of fun trying to get uber sets. Maybe make some of them available to free players too. I always found it kinda dissapointing that when i didn't have dragon amulet yet i couldn't upgrade doom weapons. Normally playing i didn't get my first doom weapon before lvl 18 and by that time the original ones arent that good anymore.

There already are similar farmable items that require a lot of effort to get in AQworlds, something like that would be a nice time filler between updates for dedicated fans.

damn that just made me think of the time back in... 2007(?) when people thought Unlucky Doom Essence was going to become rare
