So, I just got the point where you meet your player in the archknight saga, and uh- well I noticed pretty instantaneously that my armor is just the default dragonlord armor and not how I customized it, let alone even how I colored it... needless to say I am just like "well... crap..."
Now, don't get me wrong, I like the armor's default design but- I spent a lot of time trying to get everything I could to customize it and it just- goes to waste in this part of the game

So, yeah. first time I am using the forums and its me just bringing this up because I am sure there's at least another player like me just like "But- why? I put so much effort to get it like I did and its just- gone?" or something along those lines.

Anyways that be the end of my post

Why would you post this. AK saga is a short buggy mess that was made centuries ago and is of a very low quality and even lower story importantce. There's absolutely no reason Dove and Verly should have to put aside time on making player guest in archknight load dragonlord customisation correction correctly. They're already overworked and to go and make a post complaining about such a nothing issue in a small part of content from the late 2000's that doesnt even effect gameplay and demanding they fix it is pretty much the peak of rudeness, disrespect and entitlement towards them.

Yeah, there's a lot of older quests that don't support recently updated visuals or current customization options. For example, the Dragon Primal quests feature a Baby dragon, even though your dragon was grown to a Toddler when doing them. It also doesn't display any customization your dragon might have. Inviting players to PVP also doesn't load their DL customizations correctly, either (though character pages load them correctly!).

As Callum mentions, it's an unfortunate fact that a lot of old content that was created long before the updated visuals or customizations. So they just weren't made to support these visuals! A lot of it is being upgraded - character pages support DL customization, for example, and there are regular reimagined releases that involve reworking old content in general. Dove recently tweeted that he fixed the shading issue for DL customization, so there's definitely effort being expended on similar issues. But there's a lot of work for the devs to do, and getting Archknight to work is unfortunately just... not the highest priority. :(

At the end of the day, I also wish that all the visual bugs in DF were fixed. But there's a matter of priorities - I'd rather get DL customization that sometimes fails to show up on old quests or PVP, than not get it at all. And I'd rather that Verly and Dove work on fixing Early Sulen'eska, making Inn bosses, wrapping up the Proc War questline, or animating and coding Fleshweaver, than fix customizations in some of the older content.

@Calum Relax bud. Theres easier ways to explain that without insulting his character. I agree with you it shouldn’t be a priority right now but its also good for them to just have a general awareness of the game, even if it’s something they decide to never get around to or just put on the backburner indefinitely.

Well, AK technically supports it. But there is a reason why it doesn't show that it works.

It seems that if you have a playable character as a guest, it copies the artifacts and armor choices your character has equipped or customized.

So, for example, if you would use Baltael's Aventail as a helm and another playable character as a guest whose class is SoulWeaver, that class also gets the benefits of that artifact, no matter if that playable character has saved Baltael's Aventail as it's default helm. But if you don't have that equipped, the playable character who is guest cannot use BaltWeaver abilities, even if he/she has saved Baltael's Aventail as his/hers default helm.

Another example: if you would use a playable character whose default class is DragonLord as a guest, it copies the same customization your DragonLord has. So, if my default dragonlord customization is the one we got from Inevitable Equiblirum, all my guest Dragonlords copy it, even if those character's haven't defeated that fight.

Since Ash (the playable character in ArchKnight Saga) cannot own or customize his Dragonlord Class, it is locked to default and that is why your character's DragonLord is also shown in default form.
