When I'm playing as ChaosWeaver class and want to recruit Aegis as my guest. It said "You must be SoulWeaver to use a SoulAlly". Isn't ChaosWeaver a some type of SoulWeaver?
Also Khvorost is ChaosWeaver and he can summon his SoulAlly (Ruuma).

So as my request, can you pls make Aegis able to be invited by ChaosWeaver Class??? And if it possible pls make it able to ALL Class (cuz in the story such as in the Calamity Saga's Calamity part, Aegis appear to help player landing no matter what player's class is and so on).

I don’t think Aegis would willingly cooperate with the hero if they became a Chaosweaver
Sure, they’re both part of the Weaving family but Chaosweavers weave with corrupted elemental spirits rather than regular ones, which does give them a lot of bad rep for a very good reason

Like the above post said, Aegis probably wouldn't consensually help a Chaosweaver, lol.
But if you want a quick workaround to inviting him without having to juggle your class/equips, you can just go to the War at the Core boss fight and immediately teleport to hometown or run away - the quest automatically adds Aegis as a guest regardless of what class you have equipped.

Ironically, the hero technically already is considered a ChaosWeaver since they use the weaving arts for combat, a fact that Aegis should be aware of. Guess he's isn't a stickler for tradition.

The animation for ChaosWeaver's Soul Aegis skill seems to imply we sacrificed/forced Aegis to power the skill so that's probably the "lore-wise" reason why we can't have Aegis as a ChaosWeaver guest. Though this is kinda a moot point since ChaosWeaver is a non-canon class anyway.

IMO ChaosWeavers kinda a get a undeserved bad rep. Technically Tomix, Belle and Khvorost are all ChaosWeavers and though they're definitely a bit unorthodox they're far from villainous.

To be fair, Aegis is not your soulally when you are the non-cannon chaosweaver class. Seccundus is your soulally in that senario, though from we can see in the timeline where you become a chaosweaver with the help of Seccundus, Aegis is still invovled in some way. Hence the aegis shield, so yeah not being able to equip Aegis legit makes sense.

I think the difference is intention - as a Soulweaver, the hero works together with Aegis to protect people, but as a Chaosweaver the player is decidedly more aggressive and uses Aegis as a tool without any apparent concern for his well-being.

Aegis cant be invited, but can be forced into a party with CW if you take a look at what's supposed to happen, logic wise ( not sure Aegis like being used in Shield Aegis, yet he is because the CW doesn't ask him )


P.S Idk why it matters so much, CW destroys everything fast, and guests will make the fight slower usually. they can only help you at some of the inn fights, and then its only for a 1~3 times fight .

Heck, if I remember correctly, there are quests that automatically make Aegis join your party regardless of your current armor. They should just remove that restriction entirely from the menus rather than having Soulweaver actively equipped :l

Lorewise there's a bit of a difference between being considered one and actually being one

While Tomix and Belle might be considered Chaosweavers (and i guess Tomix is one until Book 3), they still weave with non-corrupt spirits and they are generally a bit higher on the moral compass whereas Chaosweavers proper like Vaal and the player using the armor weave with corrupted spirits and are a bit lower on the moral compass (the hero outright forcing and if we go by the animation almost torturing Aegis, and Vaal being Vaal).
It's also been somewhat implied that weaving with Corrupt Spirits taints your soul like using Forbidden Magic does but don't quote me on that one.

TLDR: being labeled as a Chaosweaver =/= being one, actual Chaosweavers are nastier.

Actually, Tomix has been a chaosweaver since he unleashed the Corrupted Seven, his soul forever corrupted. So regardless if he was not allying with Envy, he was still a real deal chaosweaver. As for Belle, she became a real chaosweaver when she unlocked her mana powers, which corrupted her, and her soul ally's soul.

However, its important to note that being a "real" chaosweaver does not make you "evil" or a bad person. Khvorost is mostly a nice person besides his youth mistake. Also, its been implied by the devs that Vaal's ego boasting was mostly just talk, and that he was really not that bad of a person (he never tried to conquer the overworld after Ravenloss book 1 for example).

In regards to forbidden magicks and corrupting your soul. Forbidden magicks taints your soul, meaning you do not get a afterlife when you die. Corrupting your soul darkens your it with your atribute, corrupting it, but you still get an afterlife like any other weaver as a elemental sprit, just a corrupted one!

this wasn't "corruption" in the literal sense; Warlic said so too. The influence of her mana powers affected vitael's appearance, which is normal if you think about it because soulallies' appearances change to resemble their weaver ally over time
