Water is fairly easy. From the stuff currently availabale, I would suggest choosing between Kindred with chargable autohit and Pike Pike which sacrifices Lucky Strikes and some defences to deal +25% damage.
Fire is similarly easy. Hollow is planning to add Pyromancer Bloodblade to the current Void challenge. Pick it up once it becomes available to deal +20% damageon all weapon-based attacks. Edit: It's out!
For earth, there are 2 good f2p options. Troll Club has a Berserk toggle, sacrificing your accuracy for a very nice damage bonus. Frogzard Sword compresses an earth-locked armor with a skill.
