Verlyrus:
Efficient Housework

Hey there, heroes!

This week in DragonFable, Verlyrus the boxcat has a new task for you! After running so many tasks for the cat, last time, you convinced the mayor of Amityvale to allow Verlyrus to somewhat legally stay in his house. Now, Verlyrus has yet another task for you- now that he owns the place, it's time to redecorate!

And he's missing one special decoration. Which of course means it's up to the hero to help out!

Head over to Verlyrus' house in Book 3 Amityvale to come to your favorite boxcat's aid in this week's quest: Efficient Housework!

Also this week, Sirius has been added to Book 3 Falconreach. Sirius will not appear until you've completed the Thorns saga, and, will appear as a purple mist until you complete A Serious Encounter.

Truly, one never knows what to expect when beginning another Verlyrus quest. :D Got a good laugh out of this one.
spoiler:

It seems what started off as silly little filler quests is actually becoming it's own little side-story! Very curious.

If I remember, the last quest hinted that Verly's house used to belong to someone we know. Who was it?

Dratomos -> RE: =DF= July 17th Design Notes: Efficient Housework (7/18/2020 6:30:59)

I do enjoy these quests we get from Verly. I like them even more now that there seems to be a bigger sidestory in them than previously thought.

So, when are we getting the bill from the mayor for beating up his guests and stealing his property? [:D]

The only thing I could read from the last quest into the identity of the original owner is that they were female. I don't think we currently know of any female characters, besides Grams, that haven't been home in a while.

Only character I know who we haven't seen in a while and could have a house in Amityvale is Vayle.

Vaalirus -> RE: =DF= July 17th Design Notes: Efficient Housework (7/18/2020 20:42:59)

^ True we haven't seen Vayle since 2012 during the Frostvale event and she does come from Doomwood. Although last we left off with her she was going to study that dark tome and I'm a little skeptical the house in Amityvale was hers given during the Darkness Orb saga it seemed she was hiding out in plain sight in Moonridge which seems to imply she's more likely to have an abandoned house there instead unless of course, Verly's house was a secret hideout prior to her leaving Noxus' side.

That being said if this was Vayle's house and she does return I wonder if that means she finally figured out what the tome was all about...it also be pretty funny to see how she'd react to the fact one of the two people she doesn't particularly care for took her house and worse took for a cat. I'm also kind of curious about what would be her past with the current mayor of Amityvale because he did not look too keen on having to deal with whoever used to own this place.

Between the whole Fish Lord and the fact that The Hero is visibly perplexed/understands nothing about what's happening and yet is reluctantly going along with with this weird ride whilst the other characters are taking everything so seriously/insistently, is giving me serious Charlie the Unicorn vibes. The only thing missing is a musical number.

Raphael 777 -> RE: =DF= July 17th Design Notes: Efficient Housework (7/18/2020 23:36:14)

Ooh nice. I love funny little quests like these. Was expecting a mini Boris to be the quest's reward but who am I to complain (though I still want a mini Boris pet ;D). The goldfish knight heals mana so that's still very nice.
