Primal Light Dragon -> So, can Dragon's Patience/Rage be upgraded, or...? (8/26/2020 12:24:56)

I understand that what the Dragonlord artifacts do... it's literally gamechanging. One turns DL into a dramatically different class, and the other offers a beautiful passive buff.

And both still have bonuses to stats!

But...

While they ARE new, other artifacts, like Elemental Unity, have the (difficult to collect) defender's medal upgrades, and quickly outstrip them statwise.
That makes sense; it's not an artifact of the "for-all-classes, you-want-this-for-the-buffs" type.

With the lack of info on the artifacts, though, and the fact that these are major things for Dragonlord, the class that fits closest to the "raising Draco" central storyline...
Will these artifacts be upgradable in the future, or is there a place where they can upgraded already that I'm missing?

And, of course, do these artifacts remain useful in the Endgame? Is a lvl 90 character going to look at Patience (rage isn't good for bosses) and say, "I can use that and Dragonlord on an inn boss, and it will work" and actually make that choice? I mean, the boost to damage is great, and must work wonders with longer inn bosses. But if every other artifact offers massive comparative stats...

Most artifacts do not offer massive stats. The Epoch artifacts are the only ones that are BiS. Baltael provides some very strong defenses but is otherwise outclassed by many other helms. The Frost Moglin artifacts, Cloak Scrap, Shadowheart Bracer, and Gnarly Guitar of Doom are all mediocre at best. Artifacts generally sacrifice raw stats for major gameplay changes.

As for uses: Patience Dragonlord is fantastic for any fight that can be stalled against. At its peak, it is among the strongest classes offensively and defensively. Rage Dragonlord is rather niche and outclassed by other offensive powerhouses for Inn Challenges due to long cooldowns, but it remains a fantastic class for general questing and warring.
