I do not have a DA and don't plan on getting one, so I would like to know how the training and fighting part of the pet version works (without the DA).

I know how to feed and put points into categories.

I would like to know:

How many moves can my baby dragon learn in one category? (E.g. Fighting)
Which categories are better?
Is it better to diversify points, or to put them all into one or two categories?
How are chances for certain moves being executed in combat calculated?

On an extra note, will the reset cost for my dragon's points increase as I progress? Because right now, it is fairly cheap.

The reset cost is always 1000 gold.

NDAs get 1 skill per category, DAs get 2 (2.5 for fighting/magic for a sufficiently grown dragon).

Each category has its own uses. Fighting adds the most damage with its DoT, Mischief gives a stun (that bypasses immobility resist), Protection gives a heal, Assistance gives a +bonus skill, and Magic adds more damage (though less than fighting). It's almost certainly correct to have 1 point each in protection, mischief, and fighting. After that, 200 fighting is probably the best for NDAs, but it depends on the situation.
