Kajimaru -> How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/12/2020 21:13:33)

so i tried to stock up on a bunch of charges with my kindered to make it happen, but unfortunately it didnt cut it, so honestly im at a loss for what to do here. unless theres something im missing.

Primate Murder -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/12/2020 22:21:23)

The easy way is to burst down one of the skeletons (this removes Freedom status from the boss), then Love Potion him for the next dozen turns.

Another cheesy strat (until EO is nerfed, at least) is to use Haunted Dragonlord's Will and stack Chi Shield until you become pretty much invulnerable

A less cheesy way is to use paladin armor with paladin armaments (lvl 1 skill) shield, as they treat all undead attacks as light element, regardless of them being dark or fire. Use paladin's panic and blind infliction to reduce the damage intake and slowly grind down the two skeletons (which removes Bone Wall's hp and MRM from Ringleader).

What is EO btw?

also chi shield from what?

Heroes of the Scape -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 8:38:26)

EO is Essence Orb. It's available in the Guardian Shop.

The Chi Shield source PM is reffering to is from the Haunted Dragonlord's Will. It's the Shield from the new Dragonlord MC set that came out last week.

As to defeat this Necromancer Ring-Leader, if your character is a werepyre, would using the terror skill be effective?

Kajimaru -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 12:40:20)

I certainly hope they don't nerf EO, waited a long time for an item like that and was super excited when we finally got it, its kinda the back bone of burst builds and is what makes them sustainable.

anyway, isnt this boss designed to be defeated with paladin armor?

Edit: yeah nothing im doing is working, why is this boss so hard for a CLASS QUEST? c'mon now :/

Use the Paladin armour.

The fight is easy with the Paladin armour.

Kajimaru -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 19:10:00)

how does the paladin armor make it easy? i tried, maybe i wasnt using the correct abilities? what exactly about the paladin armor makes it easier tho?

celticsrul44 -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 19:18:20)

if you use paladin armaments, paired with the other paladin abilities, he targets your light resistance when attacking regardless if he is attacking with darkness or fire. Focus on and take out the two bashers first as fast possible. Use paladin guest and other abilities like sunscale to lay on a lot of damage fast.

Ryu Draco -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 19:37:49)

Luminous Wyrm Helm from the Chess Master Saga pairs well with the Paladin armor, if you have it.

Kajimaru -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 21:06:09)

paladin armaments along with which other skills? which are the ones that makes em attack my light resistance??

Ryu Draco -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 21:23:20)

It's the 8th one: Unwavering. Head's up thought, the ability only stacks with the shield from Paladin's Armament, for every other shield you need to defend normally. Not a big issue, but annoying if you forget at the last minute.

Lorekeeper -> RE: How to beat Necromancer ring leader? (11/13/2020 22:15:00)

This summary may help, in case a large amount of status effects or unlucky popup timing drowns out mechanics feedback:

Necromancer Ringleader starts with Freedom, as well as a bonus to HP and MRM tied to its minions. This bonus gets halved when the first is destroyed, and removed if they both die.

When a minion would be destroyed, it'll be saved from death at 1 HP and then partially healed while the Necromancer channels a spell. While channeling, he loses Freedom for one turn. If the minion is destroyed or the boss is successfully stunned/paralyzed, the spell fizzles. Otherwise, he'll destroy the minion himself and gain a damage bonus.
